The Camping trip

Ellie huddled by the warmth of her fire, on the night of the full moon. She had her tent set up behind her, her knife, flashlight, and flare gun on her belt, a little .22 long rifle for small game by her tent along with her pack of provisions, and a 12 gauge pump action shotgun much closer to hand just in case. Tonight was unusually cold and on top of that she could have sworn she had heard howling in the distance, not coyote yelps wolf howls hence her gun being close to hand, an her taking such a keen interest in the fire. She had planned to stay out a few days initially, but tonight felt... like a bad night  to be alone, and she had adjusted her plans to maybe hunt some jackrabbit in the morning, then head for her truck a few miles south, and head home along the main highway.

As the black furred wolf skulked around this scene, just barely out of view, he couldn't help but mentally chuckle. He knew this was a bad idea, he knew he was being a dick, but he just couldn't help it! The full moon was out and the desire to make a little mischief ran strong through his blood. It was with this in mind that he let out a low rumbling growl that echoed through the night, and began to circle around the woman's encampment, yellow eyes glowing in the dark.

Circling the camp of a woman with a loaded shotgun in her hand turned out to be a slightly dubious decision. Ellie first heard the sound of something plodding around her camp her hair stood on end and she drew her shotgun closer glancing fearfully into  the darkness as she imagined all manner of horrors that could be out thers, and swearing silently that if she made it back she would never stay overnight in this desert alone again. When she heard the rumbling she slowly lifted her gun and stood up cautiously as if not to startle whatever it was to act. When she saw the eyes she almost by instinct, squeezed the trigger and put a twelve gauge slug right between em, hitting the wolf right in the snout.

Delsin's head rang as the shell collided with his snout and bounced off. Knocking him to the ground and leaving a bleeding fash along his snout. As he hit dirt the raw sting of the pain and the feeling of blood trickling onto his black fur was all he could think about, and the full moon was on high tonight. It happened before he could react, his body moving on it's own as he let out a blood curdling growl and hopped back to his feat, black wolf like form beginning to grow as he bared his teeth and began to charge. Delsin if only for now, was gone, it was just the wolf now.

"SHIT FUCK SHIT!" Ellie would go on to exclaim when the thing got up, and just began emptying her shotgun into the thing as she tried to stay on the opposite side of the fire. While she was not the type to panic he felt terror like she never had before, like fear was being forced into her by some external force. Still felt certain she'd die here, but she'd but up a damn fight while she was at it.

The wolf simply ran through the shots, ignoring the bleeding gashes that followed each hit and, as the sound of his growl shook Ellie's vary bones , swatter the shotgun from her hands and slashed her across the leg with his claws.

"GAH!"She cried out as she fell. In blind desperation Ellie grabbed a stick from the fire, burning her hand something awful in the process which caused her to bite down on her lip as she stuck the  burning stick in the thing's mouth, trying to keep its jaws at bay.

The wolf let out a pained yelp as the smell of burned flesh filled the air, but batted this weapon away as well. The burning pain however caused him to slink away, and as he backed up, mouth burning with pain the rage began to fade. Gradually Delsin regained control and the unnatural glow of the wolf's eyes began to fade. Oh No, as he saw the woman on the ground, bleeding from her leg the massive weight of guilt crashed onto Delsin's shoulders and he began to shrink back into his normal wolf form.This was bad, this was very very bad.

It was then that Ellie seeing the the thing was afraid or at least hurt by fire more so than the bullets, remembered her flare pistol, pulled it, and aimed it at the thing just as it turned back into a normal wolf "What the fuck are you!?" She exclaimed in terror heart thumping like crazy as she held the flare gun trained on it.

The wolf, it's attention re-captured by her yelling, proceeded to literally roll it's eyes. The before her very eyes, in a spectacle of shifting flesh and receding hair, the wolf turned into a man, a very very naked man. "...Gonna keep it 100 with you chief, none of the things I'm about to say will make any goddamn sense...and no this is not a dream."

"WHAT THE FUCK!?" She exclaimed again shocked, this thing had gone from wolf, to giant monster wolf to human, it slowly began to dawn her as she remembered she had seen movies before "YOU'RE A FUCKING WEREWOLF DON'T COME ANY CLOSER!" Normally she would think that was super cool but was way too freaked out at the moment. Her flare gun once pointed at the wolf's head was now helpfully pointed at his groin.

Delsin just calmly nodded, adjusting to sit more comfortably on the rocky ground " Wow really I didn't realize." He quipped as he looked over his nails absent-mindedly and began to prepare the basic 'yes I'm a werewolf we're real speech' he's had to give like seven times now. It was always to some screaming chick too. To be fair he could just get better at not being caught but...it was kinda fun.

"What the fuck?" he repeated this time a a question directed at him and not an exclamation brought on by shock and fear. "Why were you skulking around my campsite?" She interrupted the speech that would normally assure them all this was real and blah blah blah, but despite her elevated heart rate she had absolutely no trouble believing he eyes, her weapon stayed trained on him at all times.

Del felt a crooked coyote's smile spread across his face, this was different to say the least, he liked different. "Ooh, quite the ballsy one you are lady, I must say I like it, most just scream for like twenty minutes and pass out. But you've got proper questions? Well I suppose I gotta be all polite and preface the explanation with an apology because, to be honest i was just bein' a dick....Sometimes spooking a human is fun, and the full moon was out so I kinda felt a bit restless y'know?" He admitted with an all to charming sheepish grin.

"Where next time maybe don't tear a hole in their leg when react..." Ellie said after a few moments deep breathing to fully calm down from the terror she had so recently felt. She paused and checked her wound after she had rebuked the werewolf not terribly forcefully since she didn't want to piss it off "Sooo Does this mean I get to turn into werewolf now?" She wondered almost hopefully looking at the claw marks, that ussually did it in the movies anyway.

Delsin winces as he looked at the scar "Can I check it out? I'd get it if you don't want me too what with the birthday suit and all." He replied, genuine concern in his eyes.

"If you try anything you'll regret it..." Ellie warned him warily after a moment's pause, but nodded at him, she'd allow it if only because no one else was qualified.

"Right right right." Delsin replied, dark brown eyes rolling once more as he made his way over and began to examine the scar, whilst keeping a distance so she didn't get uncomfortable. "Shit..cut is pretty deep, and it's starting to heal, that's a sure enough sign...you won't die, or get sick, but ...no easy way to say this. You're a werewolf now."

Ellie kept her flare gun ready to fire the whole time, until she heard what he said "Ah nice that's pretty cool..." She actually looked a little excited to be honest "So that means I get werewolf powers and stuff right?" She suddenly looked worried without any warning "Wait do I have to eat people?"

"No, infact eating people is discourages, and no it's not cool..Okay so it's kinda cool but not all of it alright? There are some definite downsides to this gig that kinda make practical life a bit...really difficult." He replied with a mix of amusement and concern at her complete eagerness.

"Like what?" She wondered moving to sit on a rock and get comfortable before asking "Do you want some clothed dude?"

"When you run around a lot as a wolf, you get used to being naked in the wilderness don't worry about it." He replied waving off the question "Anyways I'm gonna level with ya, you're gonna be like...really really agressive...and really really hungry all the time.....forever."

Emma would have heard about all those shots, and she would approach, in her wolf form. A black shape with grey eyes and white fangs, sniffing from the darkness

Delsin sighed, as her scent wafted through the night wind to him "Emma, stay back." He spoke loudly.

"Riiiiight..." Ellie said to the first part which was pretty damn weird, but the second part took her a bit to process "No change there then" She joked "How long will it take to set in?" She glanced in the approaching black shape "Friend of yours?"
