Dark souls

Vic stopped as she reached the tower and looked behind her. "Huh?" she wondered.

Merielle glanced back, confused.

Before any of them could reach the tower however a wall of white light appeared solid, and blocking their path "oh no..." Fin says knowing what comes next... A massive demon over 20ft tall and covered in bulging muscles leapt over the top of the tower and landed before them wielding a massive club

(I have to say, that thing looks bad***! XD)

Vic's eyes widened and she backed up, away from it. "Wh-what'll we do now?" she asked Finn fearfully.

Merielle looked at Vic. "We'll have to defeat it." she answered, pulling out her wand.

(it's the first real boss of the game)

"The only thing we can do... We dodge roll... i'll get on the other side of it we'll catch it in a cross fire" Finn says as both he and Gerald charge it. as it swing its hammer with pretty impressive speed finn rolls underneath it while Gerald is knocked off the bride through the side wall. Undeterred the creature charges the next closest person in front of it

Merielle dodged the swing of its hammer and comes out on the other side with Finn.

Vic seems to be frozen in fear as the creature charges towards her. But then she blinks once, finally able to snap out of the fear-hold on her, before she pulled out her sword and ducked under it, slashing out at its legs as she does so.

The creature spun quickly swinging at vic with the hilt of its massive Warhammer club thing

While the demon was distracted by vic Finn begins casting his most powerful spell, the legendary soul spear known only by big hat logan and a few of his pupils.

Vic dodged it barely by rolling to the right. She saw Finn and she understood what he was doing. I have to keep this sucker distracted! she thought to herself. She saw the creature turn towards Finn and she could tell it was about to charge at him. She ran up to it and slashed out at its arm this time.

As she slashes at the demon's arm it snatches her up, and throws her to the ground with all its might before being knocked off its feet when finns soul spear strikes it in the chest

Vic shrieks loudly in pain before falling unconscienced upon impact. She laid there, limp on the ground.

Merielle narrowed her eyes before she shoots a greater soul arrow towards the demon before she rushes in to protect Vic from further damage. "You better hurry up with this, Finn! The kid's going to need tending to!" she shouted at him.

"It doesn't matter she'll just be completely fine at the last bonfire if she dies anyway" Finn points out hitting the creature with two more soul spears to finish it off

(Do their bodies completely disappear when they respawn someplace else?)

Merielle sighed deeply. "She's brave for a kid, I'll tell you that!" she exclaimed, chuckling softly.

(Yeah, and all their stuff except their extra souls)

Finn hurries over with his estus flask "Aw i'll tell her you said that grumpy"

(So her parents' souls will remain there with them if she dies?)

(the souls of anyone she's killed, but hasn't used them to buy anything, or become more powerful will stay)

Finn tries to heal her with the estus flask

Merielle watches as her body and valuables disappear. She placed a hand to her face. "Well, it's official now, she's died." she said before her eyes caught sight of the two souls that remain. "That's peculiar." she said to them.

Vic respawned at the last bonfire she had been to. She looks around and crosses her arms. She stood there. Maybe they'd come back for me? she wondered in thought.

Finn takes a second to absorb the souls of the taurrus demon, its soul being worth several thousand human souls, walking inside of the tower to the bonfire without wasting any time he uses all of these souls to increase his intelligence and dexterity before returning "Sorry what?" he asks as he collects any souls vic had preparing to give them back as soon as he could

(wait I take that back if the souls were powerful enough and hadn't been broken down to basic souls they'd go with her and they would be like semi solid fire that didn't burn)

Merielle glared at him. "She is going to be mad at you for doing that, you know that, right?" she asked him, lifting a brow. "So, who's going back to retrieve the kid, or are we just going to leave her there?" she asked them.

"What would she be mad about?" Finn asks "Me taking her, her souls? Im going to get her, what about Gerald?" he asks looking down the fall Gerald must have taken

Merielle looked towards where he had looked. "I don't know, maybe he'll respawn with her." she said to him. "I'm still confused how she had 2 souls being as young as she is." she muttered softly.

"Are you serious?" Finn asks curiously "killing a hollow usually gives you at least 20"

Merielle sighed. "Should we ask her how she got them?" she asked him, worried. "She's a supposed thief, maybe she got them doing something....bad." she suggested lowly.

"Or she killed a hollow" Fang suggests "Or an undead dog, or anything"

Merielle sighed. "I still have a bad feeling about those souls." she muttered before looking away. "Is Gerald okay?" she asked.

"Dunno I can only see so far down" Finn says before setting off back the way he came to find vic

Merielle sighed. "Gerald! You okay?!" she said in his direction and waited for a response.

Vic stepped outside of the area where she had respawned at. She tried repacing her steps to where they had gone.
