God I hate you

"Remember that one summer where I was like , super buff? well I had to make this place myself" He explains with a proud grin.

If he looked closely, he might see the tiniest hint of a blush on Demetri's cheeks. "I remember."

"I could make it happen again  if you'd like "Candy says with a flirty grin "Remember that time we ran into each other at Daytona and you literally ran away from me?"

"...No." Yes he did, he absolutely did.

"Remember I had just taken off my shirt and then I saw you and started walking over?"

"Nope, nope I don't remember at all," He said quickly. "So instruments, cool."

"It's your screensaver? On your phone?" Candy continues "Oh right the instruments ! Yeah I play like a lot of stuff , i mean not Mozart a lot but"

D was already exploring all the instruments there, saying which ones he too played, which was most of them.

Candy picks up a shiny red and brown electric guitar "Out of all of them this one's my favorite though"

"That is really cool," He agreed.

"...Wanna have a jam sess?"

He put a finger to his lips. "You serenaded me, now it's my turn," He said, before picking up a guitar and finding a seat.

Candy just smirks , resisting the urge to lick the finger just to mess with him , and simply watches.

He began strumming the guitar, testing it out briefly first. His movements were soft, hesitant in the beginning, as if to get a feel for Candy's guitar. He began the song, playing a few bars before the lyrics started.

Candy's eyes widen as he sits down in a nearby chair , with a warm smile {So...is he talking about himself?}

Demetri's eyes were shut, losing himself to the music. He had never been good at discussing his feelings. It could have been why he turned to music, why he loved it so much. It gave him a way of expressing them.

Candy sits back in the chair , closing his eyes as well and letting the vampire's vice watch over him , those longing slightly breathless tones forming goosebumps over the surface of his skin.

The music ceased with the lyrics, and he opened his eyes again to look at Candy. There was a brief glimmer of vulnerability in them. He had opened himself up to someone, which was a rare thing for him.

"Wow" Candy murmurs as he looks over him , eyes glazed over in a sheen of near wonder , he's never heard D sing..not even once . Something about the desperation , the honesty, the raw feelings he can hear, it's enchanting almost. D's singing isn't as flashy as his , he doesn't hit as many of those crazy notes or show off his vocal control but..but to be honest it has more substance to it...at least to his ears.

There was a hint of pink rising to his ears at the confession. "So, uh," He searched for suitable words. "Ta dah?" He failed.

"That was amazing"

"Course it was, it was me," He said with a grin, though the boast sounded more forced than usual. Which is weird, as normally he has no problem boasting.

"D...it's fine , you don't have to do that" Candy says simply with a warm reassuring smile as he clasps his hand in his "I..I've never heard you before"
