Potential Life Partner

Eph sits alone in his rented apartment , tome in hand as he sits in the center of an emptied room , green candles set out around him to create an eye haloed by beams of light . He had found this time the other day, he was pretty sure it was probs cursed but well the contents were rather interesting. Nothing he'd ever heard of before , now being the gives no fucks kind of guy he is , he's summoning a demon.

Black smoke began to rise from the floor and twist  into a sinister cloud in the center of the room that began to take a shape; a shape that was becoming progressively more human; the form it took was tall, curvaceous, toned but not muscular except for some defined abs; over all it began to resemble an attractive woman clad i tight yet casual clothing. She was clearly not having human having a pinkish tint to her skin fairly long curved horns sprouting from her forehead and black eyes that should have been empty bus seemed to tell tales of tortured souls and past victims.

Eph's eyes widen "Dammit! Not a dude ! ....Oh well suppose I must try again " He grumbles as he gets ready to banish the demon back.

The demon crossed her arms and resisted the banishment of the novice black mage with ease, she radiated dark power that was far above his level. "Yeah no i'm not going back to hell." The demoness said to him

Eph sighs slowly "Suppose I should have expected as much , Hell probably sucks"

The demon woman nodded in agreement "The food is always burnt, so that's shit, and everyone gets all sweaty thanks to all the fire, and also try taking a bath in a lake of fire. It's no good all round"

"I see , so I'm guessing I'm in like deep shit now?" He seems remarkably not worried for a novice staring down a powerful demoness.

"Not remarkably deep" The demoness said, seeming pretty casual for a demon, she banished "Lucky you, you didn't get another demon, seriously did you not even reinforce your wards with blood magic?" She seemed amused by his rookie mistake, and smirked slightly

"Nope , I'm a wizard , just read this tome and decided 'fuck it why not' I was hoping for a hunky demon guy , but you seem cool enough" He explains .

"I mostly deal in knowledge, forbidden and otherwise" she explained to him "For instance did you know demons can suck out your soul through sex?" She casually stated the flaw in the young wizard's plan.

"Darn ,.....Worth a try anyway " He replies with a nod "So are you just never gonna let me banish you now?"

"Well I suppose you couldn't be as dull as you looked" She said to eph, she had and air of condescension that was a few levels bellow val's. "Fear not though amateur for I can teach you how to bed a demon safely and lots of fun other ways to use and abuse your powers"

"Catch being?" He replies with a skeptical look.

"I'm a demon of knowledge, there is none yet" She assured him cassually

"You know , you need just said you could teach me a bunch of things about how to use black magic , obviously you want something in return"

"Not a thing" She said, demons of knowledge as old as her just wanted to spread forbidden knowledge that will allow people to destroy themselves and hurt eachother

"Yeah I don't trust this , at all , you sure I cannot just banish you?" Eph replies skeptically , his tone serious "Because if you won't leave of your accord I don't want things to get ugly" He states , icey blue eyes staring over her with caution as he prepares one of his more powerful spells discreetly.

"Oh please give it a shot" She said with a smirk of superiority

Eph dissipates the spell "Fine whatever, I just won't listen to anything you have to say then " He replies frankly "Because I get the distinct feeling that you're​ like.....Trying to lead me down a path of bloodshed and madness"

"I simply want to provide you with knowledge" The demoness explained in a calm fashion "Whether you let it take you to success or madness is your choice"

"I don't think I want your knowledge , I mean Thanatos is full of dark mages and it's just a rocky volcanic wasteland , no thank you" He replies as he moves to walk out the door.

"That is not because of the dark magic" She said as she followed him, "But I suppose you want to live in val's shadow forever, a useless second best"

Eph snorts and continues walking "Put your back into it sister"

"Oh no it's fine, wallow in mediocrity with no purpose to any of it, die and be forgotten, utterly inconsequential next to the great wizards like and great fighters like Alec and kailer" She said casually "What do you have to lose if you fail, what do you have that is so important that it will hold you back from a chance at greatness and importance; when you're less useful than the guy with amnesia."

He stops , and this time his words do not come out as confident "......... You're right , I don't have anything to lose , now I'm not a betting boy , but I can sure as hell tell that if I follow your advice a lot of other people are gonna lose something , and if greatness requires I do that , well then fuck greatness "
