Lesson to be Learned

Kai had now learnt some necromancy among other spells, if anything Kai was thinking of new way to gain back his status and power he had before Cthulhu took all of it away. At night Kai went to the closest graveyard to raise some dead people, though he had to shoot some fire spells at the local Grim Strays or else they would take a bite off from him. This cemetery belonged to a nearby village, Kai was going to march his undead army there and take the village over under his rule and have hostages in case hunters decide to interfere.

Crow had sensed kai's intention, and was away of not only its immorality but its stupidity as well, and so he had followed his young apprentice to the graveyard, and just before he cast the spell interrupted the lad's concentration "Out for a midnight stroll are we?" he asked, clearly Crow knew what he was up to and with a slightly upset tone was none too pleased  with his apprentice's endeavor. He stood there, arms crossed looking sternly at kai.

Kai's attention was taken by Crow, he turned his head to look at the ghoul since his concentration got interrupted. Though the tone in Crow's voice did not sound very pleased and the way he looked at him and the body language telling the rest, Kai got the impression something was wrong. "Ummm... Kinda yeah, but why are you here? Don't you have something to do elsewhere?" Kai asked, he tried to play this smoothly.

"I know why you're here" Crow said to him calmly "and your idea is stupid"

Kai took a step back at what Crow said, he then spoke. "You do? And what do you mean stupid!? How do you even know!?" Kai questioned, since he did not make his plans public.

"You're going to raise an army and try to take some territory for yourself?" Crow guessed cassually

Kai raised an eyebrow at that and spoke. "Yeah, exactly... What is it to you? My things shouldn't affect you at all..." Kai said, though Crow probably did not want him to do this.

"Well it does because, the hunters will kill you withing a day, hostages or not the united states does not negotiate with terrorists and they will kill you along with your hostages if need be." Crow clearly had to explain some things to kai, "and then guess what, the hunters where crack down hard on the area and everyone is put at risk."

Kai folded his arms and murmured to himself a little as the facts were set on the table. "Eh... Fine, fine... I won't do it... Apparently I need a sneakier plan to gain what I lost back..." Kai said, not giving up on his idea of grasping at the past.

"A decent wizard could destroy you with the power in their little finger, you have no business taking back what you lost"  Crow said calmly

Kai murmurs a little more, it was true this whole mage business was still new to him so he had no idea... "Ugh... But... I just... ... ...Fine... I guess this won't work, but... What am I suppose to do then?" Kai said, he wanted back the power he once had, he also did not know anything that would be more important than power.

"Learn, live a good life, make friends and inspire people, just generally be less of a dick" Crow suggested to him

Kai looked at Crow and spoke. "Less of a dick? Are you saying I am a dick person?" Kai asked as he started walking back home, there was nothing to do in the graveyard anymore and the Grim Strays stared at them from the darkness hungry.

Crow followed him and nodded "Oh absolutely, you're willing to kill a massive number of people and are generally just rude to people"

Kai sighs and speaks. "Well, none of those people mean nothing to me, should they? They seem kinda worthless if you think about it... And is my rudeness really that important that you need to mention it?" Kai questioned, he indeed had somewhat of an attitude problem.

"What if i expended you the way you expend them?" Crow asked

Kai was not sure what Crow was trying to say... "What do you mean? Are you trying to say that I am just as worthless as them?" Kai asked, he did not see himself as a worthless human being.

"More useless than some" Crow said

Kai narrowed his eyes at that, then spoke. "You are kidding right? Or don't I just understand? Listen, why did you take me in in the first place? Why did Lucian help me when I was down at the street? Why did you care?" Kai questioned, it was like he had trouble understanding their motives.

"Because we aren't assholes " Crow said calmly

Kai then spoke more. "So... You are also indirectly telling me that I am an asshole too? Is it because the way I think of others? Is it somehow wrong?" Kai asked more as they walked, but Kai also started to think a lot too.

"Yes" Crow said to him bluntly

Kai sighted, then he spoke. "Wow... Guess I need to learn how to think like a human again... You know how it is? When you are turned into a demon and kept in Hell training and stuff? The environment and other demons really get to you..." Kai said, he practically had to learn how to be more human like.

"It would seem that you have much work to do" Crow said calmly

Kai did not like that, he already had enough work learning and training spells. "I can't believe this... But I already have enough work..." Kai said as he probably had to somehow balance it all.
