"iz deya uh place I cun study sum magickin round heuh" Ruslon asked as they walked in, he payed almost no mind to the wolf, wondering if they would have a library with a section on the dark arts after the exams were done.

(would carter have taken them already, but his partner was eaten by fenris or something?)

Kerr shrugs "Alrighty then,Whit’s fur ye’ll no go by ye I suppose"

(Carter may have taken them, but the exams are fights between students. A little tournament bracket so he might want to participate in this. And they're actual teams of kine four or five so it's unlikely he'd have been in one)

Drake nods, "We do indeed, we have an extensive library on most forms of magic. That's on the 3rd floor, next to the conventional library"

"So , this entrance exam , wot's it like?" Kerr questions.

Ruslon seemed very happy about that and said something unintelligible

(Maybe he accidentally irradiated and killed them due to the nature of his powers? or maybe he was exempted from it?)

"Uh sir, I don't know if it's a good Idea for me to spar with the other students" Carter seemed suddenly hesitant, The only people he could really spar without killing them were robots and very powerful metahumans/demigods the latter still may get cancer. Though to the others his manner may have been mistaken for fear

Brandon looks at him curiously, wondering what the previously confident boy was concerned about

Drake nods, "Carter you're exempted of course. I already know your power level and skills. For your question Kerr...it's a tournament of sorts. You'll each duel other students while me and Nara observe and determine the strength of your powers and your skill with them. From their we'll divide you up into teams. You'll train with your team, study with your team and live with your team." As he speaks drake leads them all to a large elevator and begins the decent to the "ground" floor

Kerr nods "Sounds neat"

"Aw, cool," Niamh said at the sound of fighting, and excitement grew in her chest. She was fairly confident in her own abilities; muscles didn't work properly when they are cold, after all. Not to mention the fact that, with so many siblings, she had been in quite a few fights.

They reach the bottom floor and drake steps off the elevator into what appears to be an arena. The walls given over to rows of raised seats and the center of the room flat and featureless. Against one wall various racks of weapons, both modern and ancient, line the walls. Drake turns to the students and gives his usual excited smile, "Now the rules here are simple: win and try not to injure or kill your opponent. You'll all be allowed to pick a weapon if you want one. Nara would you like to do the honour of splitting them up into pairs for the first round?"

Nayara nodded after a moment's thought she divied up the teams "What's his name i think it starts with a B, and unintelligible cajun vs irish girl and the unintelligible scott"

Kerr takes offense to that , he's very intelligible.

"Och, I canae be wit te Scot," Niamh said in her best Scottish accent, grinning.

Kerr doesn't even blink.

Brandon looks curiously at Ruslon, then thrusts out a hand to shake, looking slightly nervous. "Brandon. Didn't catch your name before"

"Ruslon gud ta meet ya" Ruslon Cheerful in his demeanor stuck out a hand, shaking that of his new partner.

Brandon cocks his head slightly, "Don't mean to sound rude. But Uh...what do you do?"

Drake strides off to the sidelines, taking a seat in the bleachers

""Magicking, un punchin" He simplified his powers not wanting to explain them to summon who was not fully schooled in the mystic arts or demons

Brandon chuckles quietly, "You know that's really vague right?" Without waiting for a response he strides across the room to the weapon racks and begins looking over them curiously, every now and then shooting curious glances at his opponents.

Ruslon held out a hand and summoned a flaming demonic long sword of the cruciform style in it, he didn't bother with the rack.

Brandon looks over his shoulder and notices the longsword, "Huh, so that kind of magic I see."

"Black und infernal" Ruslon said, for once he was mostly understandable.

"Real bonny that is" Kerr comments as he look in awe at the flaming sword ,he's already picked out his gear , a broadsword , a round shield , and a Dane axe , along with a little seax just in case.

Niamh just picked out a knife because she wasn't too knowledgeable in how some of the other weapons on offer looked. As soon as she picked it up, ice already began to swirl up the handle and blade in beautiful lace like patterns. And then she pulled her hair into an incredibly untidy bun, but it was the best she could do for now, she just needed it out of the way.
