The Werewolf Packs

Most werewolves had retreated into the forest during the undead menace and some had to abandon civilized life due to the increased grip on the city by hunters, their only hope for survival was to form packs in the forest. Dios had fled into the forest when the undead menace started, he had spend much more time in his werewolf form just to stave off the cold and have a better chance to survive altogether with his instincts but he had also allowed these instincts to take over him so he acted more like a beat than a human. He had found himself joining a werewolf pack in the forest with a powerful alpha male as the pack leader, the pack leader was much more bigger than Dios so subduing him under his command was easy. Dios was huddled in a cave with other werewolves, but Dios was also on guard since he was lying closer to the entrance of the cave.

Zegrath had managed to sniff them out and he soon heard footsteps nearing.

Dios's ears picked up the sound of footsteps, he lifted his head slightly from the ground to try and sniff a little at the air. A faint smell of a Grim Stray caught his nose, Dios let out a low growl.

Zegrath's scent grew closer until he could see his paws outside the den. He heard a growl and growled back.

Dios looked at Zegrath, he slowly stood up continuing his growling and not letting Zegrath from his sight. Dios's fur was standing, he saw Zegrath as a thread.

Zegrath blinked at him and bared his fangs a little, but he didn't attack.

Dios growled even more, he finally stood on his back legs to look intimidating.

Zegrath didn't seem to back down, he lowered his ears and his tail wagged a little.

Dios started slowly walking towards him, to intimidate him even further. Dios continued his low growl and showed Zegrath his fangs, Zegrath was nothing more than an intruder.

Zegrath whimpered sadly and showed him his belly, he didn't want to fight.

Dios calmed down as Zegrath had showed it was no thread and kinda gave up, Dios stopped growling and showing off his fangs and his fur settled down again. Though he still eyed Zegrath since the Grim Stray was still in the way of the entrance.

Zegrath then rolled over and fearfully backed away, but he licked his lips, he was hungry.

Dios walked out of the cave, it was an early morning and since he was already awake due to Zegrath he might as well go and do hunting.

Zegrath would follow him, not like he had anything better to do, but he started sniffing the ground, he was trying to hunt for his own.

Dios was following the scent of a deer, he would go around cautiously so not to scare the thing off once he found it.

Zegrath spotted it and hid in the shadows.

Dios lowered himself in the bushes as the deer was at a pond drinking, completely oblivious to their presence.

Zegrath stalked closer silently.

When Dios was close enough, he jumped at the deer tackling it on the ground and started clawing brutally at the it to make it die.

Zegrath growled a little as he smelled blood.

The deer was now dead, Dios's claws dripped with blood. Dios walked off of the corpse and started ripping it open to get the juicy bits inside it.

Zegrath slowly stepped towards it, barely managing to stop himself from digging in.

Dios was too focused on his own meal that he did not notice or care about Zegrath.

Zegrath barked at him.

Dios temporarily lifted his head from the food and looked at Zegrath as he barked, he then pushed the deer carcass at him.
