"You said it was a Demon" Rook pointed out the discrepancy

"Yeah , a demon bat god of the underworld ,hmmm , I did not think this elderly form would effect my memory " he replies with a frown.

"Regardless If you hadn't killed it, it's tyranny could still be felt today. Sometimes the road marked with death, while painful in the short term is just better in the long run" Rookwood said with a shrug

The shaman simply sighs "As if you are one to speak to me about the long run , if you'll remember , I'm old as dirt"

"Well was it worse in the long run?" Rookwood asked as it all seem pretty straightforward

"Nope , I live alone on an island with my pet Jaguar in the ruins of my destroyed home town , revenge was not worth it " He replies.

"I meant for the world not for you" Rook clarified "One less evil entity right?"

The shaman simply shrugs "I suppose so "

Amos just walked along, hopefully this trip would prove most useful. Amos was always looking for exotic things in the area, they might be worth something back at home...

Elian had bounded on ahead, chasing Hati through the trees.

It was nighfall , and although it's take another day to reach their destination , a massive city could be seen on the horizon , lit up with torches so that it could be seen from afar. After helping to set up camp for tonight (the crew having found a nice clearing where they could set up a fire) Franky turns to Elian with a smile , a hand on his rapier "You said you wanted me to teach you , oui?"

Rook himself was reviewing his basic cuts and parries since the practice seemed relevant now

Amos had taken a piece of bread from his own backpack and munched on it for now.

Elian nodded. "Yes, if you would be so kind."

Rook decided since they were trekking through an unknown land e would need a bodyguard, he thought on what he should summon for this roll, thinking of previously bound creatures and settling on an elven ranger since this was a rugged environment and they didn't have many survivalists. A glyph appeared in the air as he summoned the creature that was more or less bound to his commands .

The wind picked up at the spot where the glyph was, sending fallen leaves spiralling into the air in a mini tornado of reds, browns and greens. The foliage drew together, until it formed the image of a figure. A female, to be specific. Her brown copper hair was pulled back away from her face and hung down her back, held in place by a range of brown feathers and many tiny braids, and her skin held a dusty glow from healthy exposure to sun. Her clothing were muted, desaturated colours that would keep her concealed amidst the trees, but were light and would offer little protection; this included a pair of thick tan legging-tights esque clothing that was overlaid by long strips of brown leather that crisscrossed the whole way up her legs, although it stopped at her thigh where she wore what resembled shorts of the same colour. Her boots could hardly be called boots; they looked more like thick socks than anything else, although they blended seamlessly into the rest of her clothing., and the leather strip ran down right to the soles of her feet. Her top was rather simple, merely a brown piece of leather that left her arms exposed. Two dark lines of warrior paint finished the look: it appeared as if she had dragged two fingers down from just above the eyebrow, down past the eyelid and faded off at the cheekbone on the left side of her face. A long bow was slung over one shoulder, and two short twin blades hugged her sides.

She gave a start at the sudden change in scenery, her hazel eyes darting around at each person in turn, although mainly focused on Rook. She slowly backed away from them all, hands grasping at her bow, speaking in some elegant, flowing language while she did so.

"I know you can speak english" Rook said crossing his arms and raising an unimpressed eyebrow, she was just showing off and he knew it.

She scowled, her knuckles turning white as she gripped the wood of the bow. "Why do you summon me?" Her voice held a distinct accent. It was a nice one; it flowed off the tongue and reminded one of the whispering of wind through leaves and rolling fields.

"Not happy to see me Rini?" An amused rookwood asked her "and after I went to the trouble of arranging a tropical vacation."

"You know how I feel about being summoned without warning," She muttered, eyes narrowed to slits as she peered at his company.

"Is there a way to summon you across the seas with warning?" Rook asked her knowing there was not

"You're a big boy, I'm sure you could figure something out," She replied. Sure, she didn't know how one would go about doing that, but she was just a ranger turned lapdog.
