Vaeri merely ignored the fellow corporal, and entered the tent behind him.

The captain grunts again, "there she is." He quickly reaches for a sheet of paper on his desk, "Allyn was supposed to tell you lot that you're being assembled for a special mission. The Lord-General has determined that in order for us to fulfill our contract we need to end this war quickly" he unrolls the paper revealing a map, "he wants you lot to kill the enemy king. Don't matter how, just that it's done." He points at a spot on the map, "last se heard he was here, in on the edges of the Blackwood. Any questions?"

Hexor raised his hand, and asked "Where do you lot work out to build muscles like those? they are just distracting." He asked as he examined the captain's biceps which were rather astounding given how much time he spends in his chair, as well as the muscles of his new team. It wasn't sucking up Hexor was just the kind of man who could process all the information in the world, and still have his mind in the clouds. He'd be flogged for it were he in a stricter army, however that tended to be a common sign of great mages, which he certainly was, and by now his superiors knew him well enough to know he took in the information, and would execute the mission even if it killed him, so where was the point in flogging one of their best mages for a trait central to his type? That and no one who's seen his power, sadism on the field of battle wants to make an enemy of him

Ses listened to the mission details, he had belief in the group he was in so this should go just fine. His attention then shifted to Hexor as he asked an questions that had nothing to do with the current mission, Ses slightly shook his head at that.

The captain slaps away Hex's hand impatiently, "any RELEVANT questions?"

Allyn shakes his head no

"I have one if you're into that sort of thing, is there anything we should know about this kingdom? shape shifting Berserker armies, mage academies, Archmages anything ?" Hexor asked rubbing his hand

The captain nods, "a few things actually. They've got a full company of Griffin knights and it sounds like the bastards brought along a high mage." He glances at Hex. "Hence your presence."

"Oh fun" Hex said still smiling dozily it had been a while since he had the pleasure of killing someone on his level

It was with god-like willpower that Vaeri managed to withhold the sigh of exasperation that threatened to burst forth at Hex's incredibly stupid first question. At least the second one held more relevance. She really didn't think much of anyone here; she was judging them all profusely. But she merely shook her head when the captain requested any more questions. She had none for now, but she wasn't the type of person to hesitate to approach him if she did come up with any.

The captain nods again, "go get acquainted with your men then. You'll leave at dawn." As Allyn salutes and goes to leave the captain speaks again, "and before I forget, you'll be having one more along the way. Thief from down south. Another captain got fed up with him and had him transferred to you lot. He's around here shoveling out a stable somewhere"

Smoke looks around at them all again, the silent fellow with his helm on is perhaps the most interesting, if purely from a mysterious point of view. Though the dwarf worries him as the most dangerous, excepting the mage that is

Hexor Nodded he liked making allies so he headed over to the member's at arms "So looks like I missed introductions."  he said sitting on a rock with a charming smile to the group "So how about we break out some casks of mead, and get to know each other, since we're leaving tomorrow." He looked around at the others sending out happy go lucky vibes.

"Sounds like a fine proposition to me!" The dwarf chuckled loudly, anxious to drink and get to know eachother

Kine fingered her bow and nodded with a cute but nervous vibe about her

Baldric looks over the effeminate looking man carefully, "you sure you can handle mead?" His tone obviously tells he's joking

Smoke cocks a scaley brow, he hadn't tried mead yet, but these northerners seem to love the stuff

Allyn shrugs, "sure we can find a barrel or two if we need"

Vaeri headed off in silence, and took a seat on the outskirts of the group once more. She just sat there, not paying attention to anyone as she absently cleaned her nails with a dagger.

Natalia had managed to make her way beside Kine, and cast the shy girl a smile. She seemed rather awkward, so Natalia decided she'd be nice and try to befriend her, so then the girl might feel more comfortable. "Where did you come from?" She asked cheerily.

Ses folded his arms, he was not sure if this was the time for drinking.

"I think i'll manage" Hex said to Baldric,and motioned for 2 to Allryn as he looks at the Dwarf


"You look like someone who knows hoe to use that ." The battle scarred  Dwarf said as he approached the  intimidating  looking fey sitting away from the others, both their people were renowned warriors, fey for their discipline and organization, and dwarves for their kinship, and bravery

Kine smiled as she looked over to the attractive woman "Oh uh, a village in the north" she said playing with her bow

Meanwhile in the stables Farid is still shoveling shit right now, because his life isn't supposed to be nice.

"How willing are you to find out?" Vaeri asked, not bothering to glance up as the huge dwarf made his way over to her. She supposed she should be getting to know those she would be leading, their strengths and weaknesses. But she honestly couldn't care less.

"Cool," Natalia said, eyes bright, and she looked around at the offer for drinks. "Hey, hit me up with a drink," She said, waving to get his attention.

"If we'll be spilling blood together i'd like to know" The Dwarven warrior commented to the Fey


"Me too" kine pipes up in a smaller voice

Allyn barks at a nearby camp servant to find them two barrels of mead

Baldric smiles, growing more confident, "where you from sir?"

"I'm from the islands of Magi located in the western sea. Magic runs in the air their" Hexor said to Baldric, recalling the beauty of his home "Some call them the isles of autumn for it always resembles autumn."


"So uh... where are you from?" Kine asked the picture of feminine beauty sitting next to her

Meanwhile in the stables Farid has quit his job of shoveling shit and has walked off to go get a drink.

"Town at the eastern coast," She replied to the rather cute girl next to her.
