Crane begins to grunt against the pain instead of just writhe in pain. Whatever his resistance is slowly caving beneath the high magic. It's a surprisingly strong resistance

Ses shook his head at all of this, was this treatment really necessary?

Baldric looks slightly queasy

Crane finally screams, and does so for a solid minute before he manages to choke out words, "I'll *scream* I'll tell! *scream* PLEASE!"

Hexor gave a twisted smile, and snapped  his fingers dispersing the illusion

Crane pants heavily, "I, I don't know why the King's at Blackwood. Rumor is he's just using it as a rally point for his forces. He has near to a thousand men there already, mostly the levies of his southern Thanes. But he has nearly a hundred huscarls that have a separate camp from the levies, that's where his pavilion is. There's a dozen Silverguard too, half with griffins. They're hid personal guard." He struggles for breath after rapidly saying all that.

"You see that wasn't so hard." Hex with a smile said an looked up at his boss "What do you want me to do? memory alter, or kill him?" The wizard asked

Kine faced away from the torture, she didn't like it, this part wasn't glorious at all

Arnoth Frowned but didn't turn around; he was used to the unpleasant necessities of war

Allyn scratches the stubble on his chin, "A thousand swords eh? That's a few, not enough to do much against our lads but enough to cause some damage elsewhere." Flicking his eyes to Hex he gives an almost imperceptible nod, signalling to kill Crane

Baldric finishes looting and approaches the prisoner

Smoke doesn't even seem to be paying attention

"Sorry mate, this is a shit way to die" Hexor said and drew his dagger to cut the noble's throat.

Crane grits his teeth and lashes out, his mailed fist catching Hex across the face while his other hand scrables for a weapon in the mud

Hex laughed as he was struck and froze the lords hand that was fishing for a weapon "Are you sure we can't keep him boss? he's got spirit"

Ses was just listening, and staying on guard.

Allyn snorts, "what you think he is Hex? A lost puppy?" Still the seargent rolls his eyes, "Keep him alive if you really want. But first move against us he makes I put a bolt through him"

Crane looks mixed between desperation and relief at the seargents words

"Alright brainwashing time!" Hexor began to weave an illusion into crane's mind of how his party saved him from  the bandits that slaughtered his men, and should be taken to their assassination target (The king?) for a reward

"What are you doing?" My character whose name I have long forgotten perked up when she watched what Hexor was doing.

Ses piped up. "Wait! This is wrong! It is immoral! Real warriors don't need such tricks to succeed." He told them.

"I'm wiping his mind so he thinks we saved him" Hexor informed Natalia as he worked. "Too bad i'm not a warrior eh?" he addressed ses's concern "Besides what are you a knight? This is a mercenary company"

Ses spoke more. "We may be mercenaries, but even so you lot still should have honor! This is wrong, changing a persons life with magic is a horrible deed and worse than death!" Ses protested, he did not like this.

"Don't be such a cry baby" Hex said to Ses with an amused smirk "I'll take money over honor any day"

Ses did not like Hex's attitude, he looked at the others in case anyone agreed with him.
