The Chaotic Weapon

Matthew shined more light from his body and took the lead

At the middle of the room there was a table, and on that table was a long straightsword with a cat eye gem on the hilt.

Matthew waited for Acheron to do something

Lu looks at it with awe, the eye in the gem drawing him in "That's the artifact then ?....now what we just what blow the damn thing up and what go to the Royal Theatre?"

Acheron shook his head at Cthulhu's suggestion, he then spoke. "You still think blowing it up is the best course of action? Heh... Fine, just do it without actually touching it..." Acheron said to Cthulhu, the half-breed seemed very confident.

Lu snorts "I wasn't being serious, you said it couldn't be blown up" (I kinda want Lu to get the sword, can that happen?)

(Sure, you just gotta do it or something.)

Acheron shrugs and then walks to take a closer look, he was unsure what would be able to destroy it. He was thinking a few options and spoke. "Perhaps a mix of Hellfire and some strong magic might be able to break it up... I am unsure though... I am not an expert at magical artifacts..." Acheron said as he took a few steps away from the weapon, he really had to thing this through.

"Hmnn, my gauntlet isn't me touching it, and it possesses both of those qualities, should I try it?" He asks as he summons his jet black gauntlet once more.

"Maybe I can cleanse it or something" matthew suggested

Acheron was unsure of that option, he spoke. "Maybe, maybe not. You can try... If it doesn't work we will have to think something much more powerful." Acheron said as he resumed to thinking.

"I'm guessing I am the more powerful option?" Lu assumes as he looks to Acheron.

Acheron speaks more. "The thing is that the weapon is finicky, Matthew your powers wouldn't be enough, in a really bad case it might corrupt you instead... I wager demons might have better resistance to it since you know... Beings of darkness already and stuff..." Acheron said and stayed there for now.

Lu nods "Alright then, I'll try it first, if that doesn't work out, kill me immediately" He states and starts walking towards the sword.

Acheron waited, observing if Cthulhu could do it.

Cthulhu exhales sharply before stepping in front of the blade, with an inhale the demonic gauntlet reforms around his arm and immediately is engulfed in red hot hell fire. Slowly he moves his hand over the blade and in an instant grabs onto the blade with all his strength.Hoping to shatter the thing into pieces immediately,however as his hand grips the blade a green light begins to glow between his fingers and begins spreading.

Matthew has his twin blades out ready to kill him immediately if he must

The sword's demonic power was at Cthulhu's fingertips, the power to make entire armies to fall and level mountains to the ground. But due to the way it has been crafted the sword was attempting to set a desire for destruction in Cthulhu's heart.

Acheron was getting ready as well.

Lu grits his teeth, it's trying to seduct him,use his hostile nature, it's winning..he's trying as hard as he can to resist, but he can't lie to himself. He wants the power , he wants it a lot, power means safety, means freedom, he'll never be someone else's pawn again! No, he's he's got to think, think of Koyu, soft Koyu, warm Koyu, the way he seems to almost purr in his sleep, those blue eyes and his soft hair....he...he's got to protect him. Koyu said it himself, he's only a fledgeling, anyone could hurt him. The blade can give him the power to keep Koyu safe ,to keep Koyu his and his alone.

Acheron observes the situation, perhaps this was a bad idea after all...

The sword fights against Cthulhu's spirit, but it is only a weapon of mass destruction and it does not understand the feelings of love in Cthulhu's heart. It has become confused more than anything...

Lu grins , he has it now, it's confused off balance, he can use that power, but he doesn't have to use it for evil . He chuckles as he overwhelms the sword's will with his own 'I should erase you from existence right here but I can use you, so come on, give yourself to me'

he sword fights back, but eventually gives in and it is now under Cthulhu's command. All that power at the hands of a half-breed demon, Cthulhu shouldn't anyone else touch it.

Acheron was unsure what was going on, the demonic sword seemed suddenly much more tame...

Lu lifts the blade up from the mantle were it had been sitting and waves the blade around experimentally a bit before looking to the others with a smile .

"yeah great job destroying the sword' matthew said dryly as he let his blades dissipate
