World description: Ungara is a hard place, a death world some would call it though they'd be wrong. Ungara teems with life, flourishes with it despite how savage and brutal life can be there. It's high oxygen levels result in trees the size of sky scrapers, jungles denser than the largest of cities with hundreds of canopy layers. Not to mention the massive arthropods that lurk on the forest floor, and coil around the thick trunks of massive red leaved trees. Then there are the sprawling baked black deserts, where sandstorms as wide as twenty kilometres rip flesh from bone, and turn bone to dust. In every dark cave there lurks some savage beast, in every jungle a colony of marauding bees or spiders. There is no room for the weak, the soft, or the stupid on Ungara..and despite all this life finds a way.

Race name: Kroatans
Race description: Kroatans are powerfully built humanoids, for they must be to survive the harsh environs of their native world, though similar in many ways, they have a higher muscle density than humans, and possess an extra set of arms, that are made useful when in combat with swarms of insectoids or when clambering through trees. Their eyes are large and sharp sighted, and their ears are elongated as well to pick up on slight sounds. Often appearing in two rows upon their heads are short rows or horns, and their canines are especially pronounced for tearing apart flesh. Their skin often has patches of proto scales belying their reptilian heritage, and as a vestige of this they can die quickly in the cold. Kroatans tend to mature quickly, this aided by their diet being mostly carnivorous with a few fruits mixed in for sugar. As a rule Kroatans tend to be temperamental and territorial, but affectionate and protective of those they form bonds with.

Culture: Kroatans adapted well to the harsh environs and are one of it's most widespread species, hunters and scavengers many spend their days on one of the many levels of their planets jungles hunting primates and ungulates that roam the forest. Whilst those who live in the desert race from carcass to carcass scavenging what they can then returning to their sand skiff. As a rule their technology is very jury-rigged and barbaric in look, befitting a world that would look like a post apocalypse to anyone else. Their culture emphasizes showmanship, bravado, and glory, with each kroatan doing their best to forge their own legend. Glory can come from many things though, whether that be a work of spectacular art, a bloody flourish in battle, or discovering a new technology. Kroatans are polygamous and due to their short pregnancy times, have multiple sets of children over the years with multiple partners. When they are done with this they settle into a permanent polygamous relation with a set group of their loved ones and stay in it until death with rare exceptions. As a rule they are split up into many different baronies, clans, and tribes each staking some claim on their own corner of the harsh world, with war for resources being frighteningly common. But despite all the danger, despite all the war and blood and disasters...Kroatans claim glory.
