Among rock and sand

The desert dwelling werewolf, was a lone wolf once more; at least for the time being. She hadn’t really given anyone the location where she lived, and while Delsin could have probably tracked her down; he had made no such attempt. Life had returned to normal for her, and once again she was left to resume her routine with no pack, and none of the friends fate had seemed to offer in the quiet and scorching desert.

Emma was mostly stretching her muscles and walking across the desert in her human form. Luckly for her she had secured several cans of food, and her hidden home in the concrete jungle didnt need any inmediat repair, so she had time to take a walk and think. She hadnt had any news of her new "pack", and she kinda prefered it that way, less problems.

Emma's walk was going... moderately well, no easy prey for fresh meat had she seen as of yet, and it was a bit hot out today, but she had picked up a strange and interesting living coppery scent that might be something worth seeing, if only to see what was skulking around her territory.

Emma would start to follow it, still in human form with the hands in her pockets.

Whatever emma was following didn't leave tracks. The scent was strong and it suggested something rather large, but the sand she followed was smooth, and undisturbed. The smell would lead her deep into the desert where it would become something more akin to blood on a hotplate than anything else.

She would frown, her hair on edge as she slowed her pace and starting to stretch, she didntvlike it, and if it was dangerous, her muscles would be ready.

Right as she was stretching was when the ground gave way bellow emma, and she fell twelve feet into a rather massive tunnel bellow.

By pure instinct emma would roll the second she touched the ground, lessening the impact of the landing and getting up once again, slightly crouching, the fight or flight instinct going crazy

The only source of light in the tunnel was the hole she had fallen through, and darkness pressed in from all side, but at the very least the light covered five feet of empty space to her front and rear, and a couple feet to the tunnel walls on each side. What was less encouraging were the grotesque, wet, slurping sounds in the shadows.

Emma would use her senses to try to detect what was down there

Her nose was useless, the smell of rotting flesh down here overpowered anything else, even the smell of blood was gone now, in the darkness her eyes could barely make out a big worm like creature, nearly as large as the tunnel, making its way towards her at the pace of a human power walk

She would transform into her garou shape with a roar, if that bloated and hideous thing thought she would be easy prey, it was in for a rough surprise.

When it was close it suddenly stopped, recoiled, then leaped at her through the air with shocking speed.

She would throw herself to a side, squeezing between the wall and the hedious thing, slashing it with her claws

The thing actually split open quite easily and made a long slurping sound as rancid guts and fluid spilled out onto emma.

Emma would growl, disgusted, and get away of the disgusting thing

As the creature squeeled its dying squeals for the next five minutes, the gunk on her began to blister and turn her skin red like a nasty sunburn.

Emma roared in pain, trying to get it off, panicking

The good news was the stuff quickly subsided leaving her with the equivalent of a nasty sun burn, but nothing life threatening.

Emma would shudder, not wanting to imagine what would have happened if she had been covered for longer, and started to walk, following the tunnel that led the worm to her, using her claws to mark where she had been.

The further she went from the light the less she could see, it wasn't long before it was too pitch black for even her wolf eyes to see.

Emma growled and decided it was better to try to climb out through the way she fell, so she turned back and started once again moving

On the other hand, it occurs to her that if she were able to get a sample of some of this thing's blood or a tootth from its blender of a mouth a witch might pay top dollar for it if it's useful for rituals, at the very least they could probably identify it.

She would move to the corpse, looking for a mouth to steal some teeth

both sides have a mouth actually with long rows of teeth on all sides, and bones and muscles built for segmented inverse locomotion like some kind of blender.
