Jinx the Yokai

Powers: Illusion (can create illusions to make him appear as a normal domesticated black cat, or as a slim human with dark eyes and blackish hair), Enhanced strength, Enhanced balance/nimbleness (comes with being a cat-like creature), invisibility (can become invisible for a short amount of time, this lasts anywhere between 30 seconds to up to 2 minutes, but such invisibility doesn't mean that Jinx cannot be harmed by any sort of weaponry), Shadow form (can become like a shadow on the wall that allows Jinx to travel without others being able to harm him), Hellfire (can shoot fire from his mouth, will cause some discomfort similar to heartburn), Divination (has some ability of predicting the future, but has to gain complete concentration in order to do so, and most of the time it doesn't work or he can only see a clouded-over image of what will happen in the future, this power, if successfully used, will make him severely light-headed and dizzy with the possibility of him not being able to use it again for a week)

Skills: Has great experience in manipulating the minds of others around him with his illusion magic, great at hiding what he really is, has some charm to him and can sometimes seduce women (not that he intends to though), he is great at making deals, not so easily defeated, has some good social skills and a very quick-wit, HE CAN READ HUMAN TEXT and speak French fluently

Likes: Manipulating people into doing what he wants, feeding on souls, being perceived as "harmless" when he's really not, creating chaos for unfortunate humans and supernatural alike, etc.

Dislikes: Being wounded (in whichever way), his plans falling through by external means (by someone stopping him), being hungry for souls, etc.


Description of Appearance (picture above this): Jinx is a cat-like yokai about 6 feet tall at the tip of his ears and walks around on all fours. His tail is slightly trans-parent and thick-furred and he can be touched when in specific forms. His red eyes will glow when he's using some of his powers and his claws and teeth are fully usable. He has a voice like silk and has a way of persuading others in the most mysterious of ways by his calm yet sinister tone. He walks exactly like a cat would both gait-wise and with certain movements, but unlike an animal, he has a human voice that he has to use his lips in order to do.

Background: Jinx was birthed/created from a toxic relationship between a "fake" magician and a woman of wealth when the magician fell in love with the lovely maiden. When the woman explained to the magician that she was already betrothed to a different gentleman, the revenge-seeking energy the magician felt manifested and created Jinx as a whole. The unjustified hatred for the woman and the quick-wit of the magician was awakened in Jinx. After finding a way to leave France, Jinx made his way over to the USA and the specific town by boat-ride and now plans on creating chaos over the whole US.
