There were plants and birds and rocks and things.

Daniel clambered up another rocky desert hill, to get a good view of the sandy landscape that stretched as far as the eye could see in any direction. After a few days staying in the city, and coming to terms with things with his brother Daniel had needed to stretch his legs. It wasn't that life hadn't been good lately, it was that he needed some time alone to think and process everything that had been going on, and walked he had  fore he was now many miles out of town with just the contents of his pack with him. He had a seat on the rock and felt  the desert wind in his hair, as he looked out across the beautiful desert in the afternoon sun... yeah this was what he needed to think it all through. He laid back a bit and grinned up into the sky.

And between the rocks he would see a lonely figure, walking across the harsh terrain with an old cap in their head

Smoothly Daniel just kinda slid to his feet and looked down at the passing stranger "And I thought the view was good before..." He said half joking, looking at her, a charming grin appearing on his handsome face.

Emma would look at that man, frowning as if she had heard him, wich was quite impossible due the distance

If Daniel noticed, and he did it didn't seem to bother or deter him much as he leaped off the rock, and lazily made his way toward her, slinging his back over his shoulder.

Emma would put her hands on her pockets, waiting for him to arrive where she stood

Daniel basically danced up a hill covered in loose rocks without causing a single one to fall, to reach her grinning slightly "Hi there" He said as he came to a stop about eight feet in front of her with that charming grin "Nice day huh?" He half joked at the extreme heat and dryness

Emma would rise an eyebrow, looking at that weird guy "what are you doing in here?"

"Just on a stroll in the desert, same as yourself I'd imagine." Daniel said, his fair skin was somehow uneffected by the sun, and he mentioned having seen her reaction earlier. "That's quite a sense of hearing you have there..."

"And quite an equilibrium you have, inhuman you could say" Emma quiped back, she didnt know what he was, but she was sure he wasnt human

"Beautiful and observant, aren't you the full package?" Daniel flirted, though remained coy as to what she was hinting at.

Emma frowned, distrusting him, a lot "My name is Jane Martin" she lied, just in case

"Daniel Walker, a pleasure..." Daniel offered her a hand to shake "Not many people wander so far off the trails into the desert on a day like this, I suppose you were so hot you didn't notice." He realized that hitting on just about every woman he came across was a bad call, but in his defense having been in self imposed isolation for so long, his only inkling of how to talk to women were distant memories and the radio...

Emma didnt even know how to answer to that "Could you..stop it?" she asked, quite confused

"Uh... yeah I guess, sorry." He said rubbing his hair with embarrassment, and cutting it out for the time being, and awkwardly ceasing the coyness said "Yeah i'm uh... a Fae or something I hear."

Emma would nod "Werewolf, and start again with that and I will punch you.." she warned

"Is that a threat or a promise?" He asked with a flirty grin and a wink, which swiftly disappeared as he apologized "Sorry it's hard to turn off... like something else i've got... damn it sorry..."

Emma looked at him, incredulous. She never thought that someone could be like that "wow..you really cant help it, can you?"

"Nope..." Daniel admitted, blushing profusely, he was pretty sure that it had something to do with the being a fae thing, or the not having interacted with a woman in like nine years thing, maybe both "Look I thought I was cursed for a bit and couldn't interact with anyone until I fixed it so I became a hobo traveling cross country, and you're the first i've spoken to in nine years, sorry..."

"I see..that explains it.." she would nod "if it makes you feel any better, I also dont have a home"

"Well home is well the heart is, and I'm afraid I'll have to be taking that." Daniel said with a wink as he leaned against a rock all suave, then looked embarrassed again and said "well I actually have a place to stay now. I met my long lost, brother... well the human I was swapped for as a child it's a long story"

Emma would lightly punch his shoulder "Good that you found your family"

He rubbed his arm where she had punched it, and answered "Yeah it has been... I still spend most of my time and sleep just around abandoned buildings and the out doors... if you want to join me" he bushed as soon as he realized what he had said

Emma rolls her eyes "You will get slaped sooooo many times.."

"Well I may as well start getting used to it..." He began with that flirty look then ceased and managed "So uh... yeah, what brought you to this place homeless?"
