There are No Coincidences

Why did all of Nar Shadaa have to smell like this exact degree of Gamorrean armpit? For a world with such a large varied population one would think that the smell would at east var from place. But no , always that same thick sweaty musk clouding the air , making it near impossible to breath.The sith mentally groaned in discomfort as she waited for her drink to arrive, eyes still locked on the street below. It had been nearly a month since she had exiled herself from the sith order, and she was surprised she hadn't been assassinated yet. One could never truly leave the sith unless their power was vast , and even then hiding was the best answer. Yet cowardice and groveling did not ever fit to her personally.

On the street bellow Duros, passed by; head down and dressed as a poor refugee with a rough black long coat. Briefly he stopped and glanced up at the building she was in for he could sense the dark side inside, but he soon turned his head and walked on with his hands in his pockets; the jedi were gone, even the Jedi Masters had given up, and he was only a librarian, this was none of his business, no one seemed to be getting hurt, and he was no Jedi, the Jedi were no more. Might as well find a hole to disappear in.

Yet before such a hole could find him he felt something , the familiar taint of the dark side yet not from the building from somewhere else. He watched from the ground as a sith empire shuttle slowly coasted down through some buildings and landed square in the middle of the refugee camp. The power and malice of dark side radiating from the ship in cascading waves , and somehow he was sure it was targeted at him.

Duros had little choice, but to head toward the Refugee camp, he very much doubted this group would be so passive as the one he had just passed, and if they had somehow followed him here, he was going to have to make sure they didn't hurt anyone else, he may not have been a Jedi anymore, but he still felt responsible, and he was not afraid of the sith, it was hopelessness, and despair not fear that brought him to this moon. Reluctantly the former jedi adjusted his course; heading to meet the shuttle head on.

"JEDI!!....We know you are here, we can sense it." The voice called.

Said jedi ungracefully jumped at the sudden voice, and looked over to see who was shouting. Of course this was not an uncommon reaction among the jumpy refugees, and he didn't really stick out. Someone shouting about jedi was a bit startling to everyone in the area, and one would expect a jedi to be more composed

Slowly the crowd became even more panicked as squads of sith soldiers began appearing from nearby alleyways wielding blasters and vibroswords. "If you do not reveal yourself soon....we will begin to relocate these refugees heads from their bodies!"

"D... D... Stop that... R...right... now please." Duros suddenly spoke in a stutter, and some nervous twitching as he stepped between a sith soldier and an old refugee woman, his manner was timid and his voice lacked confidence, there was absolutely no way any of them could yet suspect he was the jedi, even though he did not even attempt to hide it. After all the jedi who had fled here; who they were likely after was supposedly a peerless master combatant, and a jedi master, and indeed Duros was not he.

A firm smack caught the side of Duros' face immediately "Back away you thrall, or be cut down for interfering in the matters of the sith!!"

Duros with lightning reflexes caught the sith's arm and threw him back into one of the squads, as he did so he subtly activated a grenade on his the trooper's belt with the force. By the skin of his teeth he managed to draw his green lightsaber in time to deflect the inevitable incoming volley of blaster fire

The blaster fire predictably arrived , sparking bolts of red plasma cutting down several of the refugees behind the jedi.

Atypically for a jedi he made no attempt to throw himself in between the refugees and the blaster bolts, this was not because he didn't care, but because as a jedi shadow he had learned sometimes the best defense is a good offense, and stepping in the way would be what the Sith wanted him to do, and as he learned working with a jedi shadow playing into their hands would only lead to his death. As the sith with the active grenade exploded taking out one squad, he hurled another off the Narshadda walkway with a force wave, the message was clear, aiming for refugees was useless, they could chose between shooting the refugee's and self preservation IE running or shooting at him

They were shooting at him in the first place but ok.

Regardless he cuts through the soldiers like a lightsaber through butter

The sith officer snarled with rage as he reached behind his back and drew out a saber , the blade bursting to life with crimson fire "Jedi are so predictable." he noted snidely and with that lept at the fugitive saber in hand.

However this jedi was anything but, he was ruthless, aggressive and lethal in the way he slaughtered the officer's soldiers. As the officer lunged he activated the grenades on the last trooper's belt and flung them into the officer's path with the force

A force barrier blocked the brunt of the explosion , hurling both jedi and sith with it's force .

With the aid of the force duros would do a mid air flip to regain his balance, a small smile crossed his face, as he chuckled to himself.

The sith on the other hand used his saber to brace himself , digging into the street with a crimson blade"You seem to be enjoying this, that isn't very light side of you." He noted with a sneer.

"I... I... It's a sh...shame... it will be over so quickly..." Duros stutters not meeting the sith's eyes, in the brief moments since the sith had drawn their lightsaber he had already found no less than two dozen opportunities to kill them "Y... y... your footwork is sloppy. y... you c..can't win" he tried to warn the sith giving them a chance to run

Unfortunately the stutter turned his effort to naught as the sith replied with a cruek laugh "The last trick of a near captured prey, it will not not suffice"

Duros shook his head and waited for the sith to make their move

The sith let out a mad murder howl as he let out a crackle of sith lightning right towards the stuttering jedi.

The jedi darts to the sided, and yanks the sith toward him with force pull

His saber slashed towards the jedi's neck in a crimson arc as he was pulled forward.
