The Search for Manalaya

Jager nodded once. "I understand your concern, but Manalaya isn't immortal. She can be killed and she has been injured in the past." he said before he chuckled. "And even if you ask her what happened to your master she's too stubborn to answer you! However, they do say she likes to flirt with men, maybe she'll actually answer you. Just remember her shape-shifting skills when you ask her out!" he teased, snickering roughly.

Manalaya narrowed her eyes at this. She flapped her wings and flew towards them. I'll show you stubborn! she thought before her talons clawed at Jager's hood. She then flew off to some distance away before shifting into her wolf form.

"Woah I ain't trying to flirt with some old lady" Lysander said when she was still in range

Jager shrugged at that, ignoring the pesky hawk. "I hear she doesn't even look nor sound old." he said. "But I was just teasing." he added in, laughing once good-naturedly.

Manalaya stepped out into the open, standing directly in the path. The horse freaked out and the wagon stopped.

Lysander on the other hand nails it in the face with a shockball basically tasing her not knowing who or what she really is

Jager takes out a iron sword out of the back of the wagon and pointed it towards the wolf. "Something tells me it's not going to be happy once it recovers." he said.

Manalaya crumpled onto the ground before the shocks slowly dispersed. She recovered before she stood up and growled furiously at them. "You moron! How dare you attack me!" she shouted, speaking to them before she shifted into her original form right before their eyes. Her nine-tailed fox form standing about at the height of 9 feet tall. Her nine tailed swished individually from side to side.

Lysander looks up at her simply shrugging and asking "What did you expect you were a wolf?"

Jager looked up at her before he got off the wagon and tried to calm his horse down.

Manalaya growled savagely at him. "I didn't even growl or look at you! I just freaked the horse out into stopping! Is that a reason to shock me like you did?! YOU IGNORANT FOOL!" she shouted, baring her fangs at him.

Jager looked at Lysander. "I guess you can ask her now." he said.

Lysander looks annoyed at her "Oh yes maybe it was one of those friendly feral wolves, the ones that nobody has ever encountered in the history of ever!"

Manalaya growled even more savagely. "You know with one jump I could crush the wagon, you, your acquaintance, and the horse! But I'm gonna spare you for now! THIS ARGUEMENT WILL CONTINUE ANOTHER TIME! I'll see you in town." she said before she shifted into her hawk form and flew away.

Jager finally managed to calm his horse down. "Well, she was......tense." he said.

Lysander nods "She's very irrational, are you sure she might not be another kitsune?"

Jager shrugged. "We'll find that out later, I guess." he answered him.

Manalaya landed just outside of the town before shifting into her human form.

Lysander looked onto the horizon troubled by the reality of this person he had met "How far to town?" he asks

Jager sat back down and waited for him to sit next to him. "It should be within the next block, you'll probably see it once we reach the top of this hill." he said.

Manalaya just waited in the market for them.

Princess Epona walked out onto the street before entering the town library.

When Lysander and Jager entered town Lysander hopped off the carriage first.

Jager nodded before he and the wagon rolled onward.

Manalaya walked around, looking for the wizard again.

Princess Epona exited the library on the same street Lysander was on.

"Poke..." Lysader says walking up behind manalayla and poking her on the back of the head "How's it going grumpy?"

Manalaya spun around in surprise, her eyes widened before they narrowed as she saw it was Lysander. At his question she snorted. "Impressive how you were able to tell it was me." she responded, changing the subject.

Epona turned towards them before she recognized Manalaya.

Jager was busy trading his stock in for profit.

"I guessed"  Lysander says simply with a chuckle "i had no idea it just felt like it"

Manalaya chuckled. "Well....you guessed correctly." she said before she crossed her arms. "So what do you want now?" she asked him.

Epona then thought she was wrong, so she walked towards them before passing them.

"I want to know if you've seen my master, he went looking for the secret. Of how to not age and live forever"  Lysander says crossing his arms

Manalaya narrowed her eyes at that. "You mean the idiot who tried to kill me thinking that if he did he would gain that secret?!" she asked him, clenching both fists.

Epona stopped at that. It is her! she thought before she slowly approached. "Can you two calm down?" she asked them gently.

"No my master would never do that"  Lysander says firmly

Manalaya chuckled. "Funny how he said "I'll return to Lysander with immortality" just before he attacked me!" she shouted before pausing. "He'll never return! Because I took his life to save my own! He never knew that there was a spell on me keeping me alive! He didn't know he couldn't gain it by killing me! He was just an obsessed fool with an eye for stupid legends!" she added in, her eyes turning red, showing just how furious she was.

"Liar"Lysander yells at her with even greater anger "my master was a wise and kind man who would never do that!"

Manalaya's shoulders grew tense. "I got the ****ing scars to prove it! And I NEVER lie!" she shouted. Her anger making her so angry that she felt like shifting into her original form and crushing him on the ground.
