So this Rp would be heavily based off of the setting of the turn based strategy game conquest of elysium.


Elysium is the most land in this realm it is a continental battleground not just between man and man, or man and beast, but a land where all things are perpetually at war. A land so savage even the deer are savage pack hunters with a taste for human flesh. Elysium is a land in which realms collide. Horrors from the void of a mad god, Demons from the infernal plain enabled to crossover by demonologists, Elemental beings summoned forth by powerful warlocks, Ancient beings from a time before man awakened by the witches, Troll kings, A race of cyclopses from the deep caverns beneath the surface, and of course the human empire relying on its mages and skilled legions to weather the forces arrayed against them; All of these factions emersed in a single bloody war for total control of the continent of Elysium.


Layout and factions



The Human Empire Overview: The empire of humanity is a small but powerful faction located in the north eastern reaches of Elysium it is protected to the south by a great capital city, two the north by the imperial academy of highmagic, and to the west by a great mountain range. Despite the tactical advantages the land is teeming with hostile wildlife and roaming undead. The empire did not always reside here however they once had a far more hospitable home in the south which they were driven out of during a pale one invasion The legionnaires make up the bulk of the imperial army; they are quite formidable by human standards, most are well armored and well discipline they form perhaps the greatest human infantry in elysium. There are also of course spell casters, while the empire does not traditionally rely on demonology or the summoning of elemental creatures, they do have a huge variety of both traditional and more explorative schools. Traditional magic schools tend to be comprised of the three metal orders: The silver order focuses on storm magic, and the banishment of evil forces. The golden order focuses on fire and the enchantment of people, and the Iron order which focuses on metal magic and transmutation. Less traditional magic schools range from pure pyromancy, to shadow magic, to astrology, to nature magic, and even pure wizardry which studies a bit of everything.



Pale ones overview: Pale ones are a race of cyclopes from beneath the earth, recently emerged to subjugate the surface they range from their adults who are about ten feet tall and well muscled to their (very rare) ancients who are closer to fifty feet tall and well muscled obviously their infantry tends to outmatch humans physically and they are more numerous these days. Fortunately they tend to be less coordinated and graceful than humans, and they also have terrible eyesight and depth perception so ranged units are uncommon. The pale ones have magic users called oracles who can summon and form pacts with elemental beings. Although their magic users are not as powerful, accurate, or numerous as human spell casters . Be that as it may pale ones have conquered south east and all of central elysium, as such they have the most territory.




Warlock overview: A common misconception is that the warlocks of elysium are powerful spell casters, they are in fact mediocre spell casters who form pacts with elemental beings; pacts which allow them to either use a portion of the beings power, or summon the elemental as a soldier in his or her armies. Warlocks are humans who have split from the empire, in order to form their own built upon the pacts they form with elementals. The warlocks hold the south west Most of their soldiers are humans, not nearly as well trained as the legions of the empire, nor do they have as many skilled spell casters, what they do have is lots of elemental beings strengthening their armies some of which are strong enough to single handedly destroy pale one ancients


Witches overview: Witches are a faction of female magic users who can brew special brews that allow them to awaken and call upon ancient beings of elysium like living trees and hydras to fight for them. Their infantry consists mainly of certain cannibal tribes often more beast than man that serve them, some of these androphags know necromancy and that’s about it. The witches occupy central west Elysium


Demonologists Overview: Demonologists are a more scattered faction, they exist all over the world and not all of them have strongholds and armies. The demonologists are human demon summoners, and skilled with infernal magic (hell fire blasts, invoking extreme agony in an enemy ect). Some demonologists have armies containing human soldiers as well as demons but as is the case with the warlocks, these soldiers are mediocre at best and it is the demons they have bound that make the greatest contribution to their armies.

magic items: a magic bottle holding a water elemental that will fight for him if released.
Background:  Star Child was born the offspring of a female star cultist and an ancient creature in west elysium. The peculiar looking creature was considered a gift from their gods who would one day lead their people, for this task it was groomed with many text on strange and Ancient magics. Magics to defend itself, magics to bend others to its will, and magics to summon lesser creatures to do its bidding with human sacrifices. The cults tendency towards human sacrifices repulsed it however and led the star child to flee. Jerda is a harsh continent however, and even aside from the typical hazards one would face the star child would often be denied shelter and occasionally attacked by humans and other races on acount of its amphibian inhuman appearance. It journeyed for four years across the continent learning survival and the true definition of outcast. It learned to cover its body and twisted face so as not to be attacked on sight.

Background: Her parents were killed by warlocks before she was strong enough to gain enough skills. She tried for years to avenge her parents, but each time she got really close to getting even, she was founded out by someone and had to quickly use her shape-shifting skills to make a quick and sneaky get-away.

Background: Same as Yomela's but he didn't go after them at all. Trained with serpent magic, infernal magic, and illusionism. Was very proud of his newly learned skills that he decided to take his skills elsewhere. Before he left, his teacher gave him the chess board to help him along his journey, in case he needed it.

(It is up to you, someone on my other site's version had a magic chess bored with pieces that could turn into living soldiers, also a demonologist needs to know infernal magic)

He was sent to the imperial academy of high magic at age eight though he was trained in basic pyromancy even before that. at age 22 he graduated from the academy joined the legion and was assigned to the northern frontier as an independent wizard, tasked with dealing with bandits and protecting rural settlements

(Yeah, but how would she fight back? XP I guess I'll have her taking the form of a large wolf and tries to bite them to death? And then he comes and when she notices him, she gets distracted and gets hurt.....maybe?)

Yomela Lark hated brigands. Their stupidity led her to being cornered, but that's what she wanted them to think. She took a second to shift into a large black wolf before they got close enough to attack. She growled savagely at all of them. And as they came too close one by one, she quickly bit into their neck, and was getting quite entertained at their mistakes leading to her killing them. The remaining 5 brigands cursed at her, swinging their weapons to intimidate her. You fools! How could you ever try to defeat me! she thought angrily in her mind. She snarled at one of them, making them back up a bit in fear.

Lysander who had been having a surprisingly uneventful patrol until now. Pretty uneventful week actually only three people eaten by deer this week, that had to be record in these parts; heard the commotion and ran in Yomela's direction. Soon he came across what seemed like a giant wolf cornered by brigands, well this situation was pretty good he'd take out the briggands first while they were distracted, before any of them remembered they had bows and just shot the wolf. He'd deal with the savage creature next. Lysander stepped out of the woods into the clearing where the showdown was taking place. Qucikly he blasted the briggands with a volley of fireballs killing them all at once

Yomela's eyes widened as some unknown male stepped out and killed the rest of the brigands with a flurry of fireballs. Her gaze then turned towards him. Is he an Imperial wizard?! she thought to herself. She then realized he'd probably try to kill her afterwards, so she lowered her ears and tucked her tail in. "I'm not a wolf, I'm a kitsune, please don't hurt me! I mean you no harm!" she quickly and fearfully said to him, before shifting into a human woman form before she raised her hands in surrender.

(I forgot to include the games definition for kitsune and oni, so imma go ahead and do that)

Lysander though he believed the kitsune kept his staff at the ready, Aimed at her. Kitsune were a type of oni, demonic creatures originating from the netherworld, while kitsune were not considered to be as cruel or evil as other types of oni. Still free oni were rare as most were summoned from the nether world by powerful Bakemono sorcerers to do their bidding, needless to say one of these sorcerers could be a serious problem for the northern frontier. "Excuse me if I don't exactly jump for joy then, how does an oni come to be here?"

Yomela gulped fearfully, taking a few steps back. "I was born of 2 summoned kitsune before they were killed by warlocks.....please don't hurt me." she said before she dropped to her knees and put her hands together, begging him to spare her life.

Lysander thinks for a moment then Raises his staff so it isn't aimed at her. She didn't seem like much of a threat but he couldn't overlook the possibility she could be associated with enemies of the empire "I'm taking you in for questioning, don't make me regret my decision"

Yomela went pale all of a sudden and she looked away nervously. "Uhhhhh, sure, I won't make you." she said, slight hint of nervousness in her voice. Why does he not believe me? He acts like I'm going to stab him in the back and yet I have no weapons on me! she thought to herself.

"You lead we're headed east on the road, keep your hands where I can see them" Lysander orders the kitsune ready in case she attacks. Kitsune are known for their cunning and deceit after all, and he refused to be caught off guard. No matter how innocent the girl seemed there was no way to be sure she wasn't just biding her time, and as a mage of the empire it was his duty to be ready if she was

Yomela slowly got up from the ground, putting her arms up in surrender. She then slowly walked past him, not making any sudden movements before turning towards the east. "What if my arms start getting tired?" she asked him, slightly glaring at him.

"You don't have to hold them up" Lysander says rolling his eyes "Just no sudden moves or reaching into any pockets without saying something first" He orders, and explains "Fortunately i'm skilled in Kuro Do myself and will be able to tell if you're bound to a sorcerer myself utilizing the resources back at my tower. Otherwise i'd have to resort to torturing you until I was convinced."

Yomela sighed deeply before she slowly lowered her arms. Her brown eyes narrowed slightly at him. "I'm not bound to anybody, otherwise I would've tried to attack you already." she said to him before she turned away and started walking eastward. There's got to be a way to get away from him! I hate being questioned by anyone!! Maybe if I shift into a bat form then I could fly away without getting hit, but then he'd try to find me again! she said in thought.
