Bloody moon

It was a night where the full moon cast a blood red glow upon the earth, the stars shined clearly but all blanketed the earth in a red light, From finn's cabin in the would dark magic could be felt nearby, and howls could be heard, not wolf howls, but those of a human sort.

The howls had caused Kari to withdraw into the safety the space beneath a bed boasts. Although the red moon light that cast strange shadows on the floor through the window had drawn her slowly from her hiding place. That was until she heard the eerie sounds again, in which case she would scurry back under it.

Finn was intrigued by this, and went to find his staff saying "Come on kari, let's check it out" he suggested

Kari begrudgingly crawled out, pulling out some biscuits she had been hoarding under there with her.

Rhere was another howl and finn smiled "Got what you need?"

Kari munched on a biscuit in response.

Finn headed outside, casting a spell of illumination which lit the tip of his staff he followed the otherworldly chanting, it was as far from demonic as it was from angelic and human, its nature was incomprehensible.

Kari clung close to Finn and his light source as they walked, ears flat to her head.

Shadows could definitely be seen darting through the woods around them

Hackles raised and teeth bared, Kari cast growls at the movement, although she remained next to Finn where she felt safe.

Finn continued on his way, he wasn't worried, he had his magic and his closest friend with him

Kari jumped at every sound, shuffling ever closer to Finn.

Atop a hill illuminated by the red light being cat by the moon and stars was group of people in red robes standing in a circle around a stone alter. They were the ones chanting calling forth magic entirely unkown to finn, calling forth something with no place in this world.

Kari agreed this shit had no place in this world, and tugged at Finn's trouser leg to try and get him to, you know, not.

finn however was fascinated and watched the ritual

Kari gave a low growl when he did not move, and planted her rear on the ground in a huff.

Finn offered kari a piece of bacon as he watched the cultists who hadn't noticed them yet

Kari greedily gobbled it down, tail thumping against the ground as she waited for more.

A portal opened in the sky and eldritch horrors began flooding into the realms through the night. Finn jumped, knowing he needed to put an end to this he fried the nearest cultist with a bolt of electricity, the portal closed as the three other hooded figures turned to him and kari.

And this was the moment Kari decided fuck this and went to run off.

"Damnit kari!" Finn shouted as he began an intense magic battle with the hooded figures

Kari meekly returned to his side.

FInn had to draw upon her power to kill all the figures

Shockingly, Kari was still not a fan of this arrangement. But regardless, she helped however she could.
