The staff of Edathum

Finn sat at the inn Listening to the Fey across from him by the name of Moura explain that she had heard rumors of the staff of Edathum the Crow a great necromancer from the dark ages whose undead armies massacred villages and subjugated a kingdom before he was defeated by the fire witch Kerrigan. "This is quite a discovery if the rumors are true" the Spirit Wizard said to the fey "But a dangerous one none the less, since magic staves can retain the essence of their former owners. The lodge I imagine would pay good money to see it safely in the hands of the fellowship."

"Aye, but what's life without a little adventure?" She asked with a wink. She didn't want the lodge to find it, as she wished to sell it, but she could always sell it to them, she supposed. That would require her to find it herself, however.

Finn thought on all of this for a bit then nodded, he did certainly want to go on this adventure, but he also knew the damage it could do in the wrong hands. There was also the fact if she had heard this rumor then there would likely be many dark mages soon to hear the very same rumors. "Alright i'll help you find it, but on the condition we sell it to the lodge, not some shady necromancer."

"My hero," She drawled, though a mischievous smile flicked on her lips. "As long as I get 60% of the money we get from selling it."

Finn raised an eyebrow knowing she wouldn't be doing sixty percent of the work , but then shrugged saying "Sure, why not? But there's no time to waste"

Mystogan sits a few tables away ,on his phone, as he hears the rumors he perks up a bit eyes turning towards Finn and Moura, ancient necromancer staff?

Finn Does not acknowledge mystogan's staring at them

Moura was slightly surprised he accepted her demand immediately, and regretted not raising the percentage a bit. Oh, well. "That's very true."

" Then what are we waiting for? lead the way." Finn said standing up and motioning for the fey to lead on

Moura grinned and hopped up, skipping to the door of the inn.

Finn smiled as well and walked normally after her

Mystogan decides to tag-a-long for the adventure.

Moura dandered along, chatting away to Finn about nothing in particular. "Hey, are we being followed?" She asked after a while.

"Yeah, you remember misty here?" Finn asked her as he motioned to mystogan following them

"oh, aye," She said with a smile as she looked at him. "Hey, you."

"Hello pretty lady " He replies passingly as he flips some pages in his tome.

"Are you coming with?" She asked him, twisting a strand of her hair around a finger.

He nods silently as he flips through another page, the expression on his face turns to disgust and he drops the book in a nearby trash can.

(To the mountain?)

A few hours later the group reached the spot halfway up a huge mountain covered in light snow fall, where Moura had been told a cave would be located. However there seemed to be no cave. Thankfully after searching Finn was able to dispel a magical barrier, disguised as a rock that hiding a small tunnel just big enough for the three to fit through shoulder to shoulder if they wished, but why would they do that? Anyway Finn Illuminated his staff and advanced forward with it at the ready. as he did he spoke "That barrier was old, I think we're the first in, in some time..." That boded well as it indicated that no dark wizard had yet arived to search for the staff.

Moura had basically talked their ears off the entire trip, but gave no useful or necessary information. The most interesting topic was probably when she had a rant about some TV series or another, but she had forgotten to say its name. She followed after him into the cave, and gave a little nod. "Yeah, that's good."
