Impromptu friendship

Late afternoon ,small village 


 The rain patters on the dirt road of the small village , everyone at a pause watching the retinue of men in the middle of the main street , a sword saint , a holy warrior garbed in blue and gold armor yet now helmet , allowing his long black shining locks to flow down his shoulders alike to the nobility of Chengdao , and a sign of supreme pride. He turns his nose up as they pass the commoners , and his soldiers , each one a samurai in his own right mirror the gesture , an air of disdain about them all. However they are hear because they heard someone matching the description they got was hear , young , slim , with smooth skin and hands the sign of a noble , and the slight glittering sheen that surrounds those born of the tentai . A renegade charged with killing his own father , the young empresses little sister and even a sword saint! They must have the maximum level of vigilance to catch such a dastardly foe.

Said dastardly foe was in the corner, he had his hood up loke several people here and was blending in by conversing with the locals "So you're saying the blacksmith here can forge a battle ready sword in just one day? I'd put money that's a load of crap" He mirrored the rather crass speech he had heard from the commoners speaking in the previous days to blend in

As the little train of soldiers moves along the leader pulls a man aside , taller than average , black unruly hair in a chonmage , yet without the front shaved , some stubble forming a small beard . He wears a shabby dark blue kimono with a faded out clan symbol on the back ,a samurai , though the top knot and two swords should tell anyone that regardless. Or...perhaps a ronin by the rugged look of him. However as he and the sword saint converse quietly the ronin opens his mouth and drunkenly burps ,so loud it can be heard all the way across the village, and everyone goes silent.

This caught the interest of toshiro who looked up to get a view of the situation, it looked like a sword saint conversing with a dead man to be honest

"You lowborn bastard!" The sword saint yells "DO you not know who you disrespect ?! It matters not , soon you will bleed in the street like the lowborn pig you are!" He cries as he steers his horse away and hops off , hand on the hilt of his blade as one of his men grabs the horses reigns "You look like a chick" Is the ronin's casual reply as he takes a few steps back and grabs onto the hilt of his sword as well .

toshiro is sizing up the soldiers with the sword saint contemplating attacking them from behind

Than faster than anyone could have expected the two clash blades moving almost faster than the human eye can see , both slashing at each other at almost the same time. Silence , each stands stock still blade drawn and high in the air , the soldiers stand ready to attack. Then without a sound the long black train of hair on the back of the nobles hair falls to the muddy ground . The ronin  grins and laughs drunkenly "There , now you look like you actually have some balls" He jeers to the sword saint who screams bloody murder as he looks down to the fallen mop of hair.

The sound of barely surpressed laughter came from toshiro like a cough, this peasent was funny, and the look on the sword saint's face was priceless

"KILL HIM! KILL HIM!KILLHIM!KILLHIM!KILLHIM!" The Sword Saint screams hysterically at his men who all draw their blades and rush at the peasant who stands , an amused grin on his face but a dangerous look in his eye "I'd suggest you keep those pig stickers in their sheaths samurai " He warns ,katana still in hand and for just a moment they stop dead in their tracks .

Toshiro takes the oppurtunity to blast the sword saint in the back with a bolt of black lightning dealing with his pursuer like a true hero...

Four samurai hadmoved in on the ronin surounding him, in various tances, most seeming to prefer a high guard, some people imagjined samuarai as noble warriors but really like any good soldiers they'd happilly gang up if they weren't sure they could take you on their own , they forme a circle around the ronin, making sure one was behind him

With a yelp the sword saint goes down into the mud , knocked out.

 Take just grins and keeps his stance open , almost mockingly so , happy to play the part of a foolish drunk ronin who's long forgotten his training.

As soon as the Saint goes down one of the other samurai rushes Toshiro "The target!" He yells and leaps at Toshiro hoping to slam his blade down into the outlaw's skull.

The ones from the front and and back move at one, the one from behind lunges and slashes near the bas of his spine while the one from the front goes for his neck

Toshiro is able to just raise his sheathed blade in time to stop that from happening, bracing it with both hands, and sending an Electrical current trough his bade when the blades met

The ronin falls to the ground before either of the blades are even near stopping himself with both hands and mule kicking the one behind him in the groin than lightning quick sweeping the other's leg from under him "C'mon guys you're all better than this I believe in you" He mocks as he hops back up to his feet and hops atop the samurai to his front slamming his sword down into his chest.

 The samurai shakes , smoke coming off of him as he's fried within the metal of his army , the smell of cooked meat beginning to flow through the air.

Toshiro quickly looks around for anyone else who wants to try something

The samurai at his sides pounce one striking at him high the other low

He rolls backwards quickly and as he hops up flings a dropped katana at one of them , catching him through the throat.

 An arrow whistles through the air at him from his left , then half a second later another from his right.

Toshiro kicks over the table and ducks behind it for cover.

The last two share an uneasy look, before both charghe him with the high guard, their pride would not let them retreat

The ronin's grin widens as he catches the first one by his wrists whilst slamming a hard knee into his gut , then spins with him in his hands and throws him onto his fellow slamming them both into a hard wooden pole. Eyes gleaming with a feral savagery he charges and slams his sword through both of them , the tip of the blade slamming through both the bodies and the pole. 

The arrows continue slamming through the brittle wood .

Looking at the angle of entry Toshiro was able to calcolate where the arrows were coming from without peaking above the table, with a powerful blast of force he sends the table flying at high speed towards where the shooter should be

The man yelps as the table slams into his face and he falls into the mud , knocked out .

 Take grins as he pulls out his blade , wiping the red dripping blood from his blade with a napkin "Oi , tentai , gotta thank ya for the assist" He says with a friendly wave as he sheathes his blade.

"No no, thank you" Was his cheerful reply, Toshiro didn't understand it all with the dialect but he got the gist "For getting that sword saint to turn his back"

"My pleasure , you did quite the number on him....but more will be coming soon , it'd be good for the both of us to get moving , you wanna come with me?" He offers as he looks over the sword saint's fancy katana with interest.

"Absolutely, thanks for the offer" Toshiro said to him "The Name is Toshiro by the way"

"No clan name ? Strange for a tentai" He replies with a raised brow as he gives a small yet respectful bow.

"Not anymore" Was Toshiro's plain reply, though he did not bow back, the thought of returning a commoner's bow simple had not occured to him, though it was not out of malice

The ronin just raises a bow as he rises from the bow , arms crossed within his dark blue kimono "Mind telling that story ?" He asks curiously.
