Finally awake

"not really we have you on hand...you know , an actual chick" He replies with a snort.

"Yeah... no thanks," She replied.

"You mean practical, intelligent, handsome, and charming."  Alex corrects her

"Sure," She replied, patting his shoulder. "Whatever helps you sleep at night."

"The others maybe , handsome? C-" Taylor remarks.

"I am at least a B" Alex protested with a smirk "Now come on let's help this kid instead of acting like a cadre of idiots"

"We can't change who we are Alex!" He replies with mock anger.

"It's not a phase, mom!" Nari said.

SOmetimes Alex wished he had the power to make idiots disapear "We're not normally like this..." He said to the kid "... ok that's not true we are"

"You're stuck with us, Alex," Nari said, before dropping her voice to a whisper. "...Forever."

Jade was staring at them all like they were insane.

"You'll never escape" Taylor remarks , voice dropping like six octaves.

Alex put a hand on his head and groaned

Nari grinned and bro fisted Tay.

"no fisting in front of the child" Alex couldn't help but joke

"See you're no better than us" He replies as he reciprocates the fist.

"I know what fisting is," perked said child, looking very proud of her wee self. Bless her.

"Shhh Shhhh Shhhh" Alex covered her ears

She shooed his hands away, while Nari was pissing herself laughing.

Alex was also laughing a bit "Ahhhh... but seriously this kid has a family who could be dying as we speak let's move."

Nari sobered up a bit. "Oh yeah, what's the plan gang?"

"Print out lost child posters with her face on it to lure anyone after her into a trap?" Alex suggested

"I dunno man," she said. "Seems a bit too  obvious that it's a trap."

"So we make it look like we're using them to try and find her parents." Alex sugggested

"Hmmmmmmmmmmm," She said, as she thought. "I mean I guess it could work."

"What do you think Taylor?" Alex inquired
