No Man's Land

The zombie outbreak , after years of movies tv shows and video games depicting it as fiction ,no one really thought it might actually have some truth to it . Everyone was wrong ,it began during a black Friday rush , one infected infiltrated a mall ,into the rushing crowd ,within thirty minutes the whole mall was infected. Within an hour the entire town ,within a day the county was quarantined by the U.S military . Then another town was infected ,then another town ,until the infection spread to Chicago . The city fought back ,both the police force and local gangs cooperating to fight the infected packs . Within a day Chicago was split in half ,between infected occupied ,and police occupied Chicago. The world panicked ,Obama administrating martial law over the nation as panic spread. Other towns and cities began to be picked apart ,until soon the nation was a patchwork of infected and resisting towns. The CDC reported that it seemed as though the nation was doomed , people were ordered to stay in their homes ,lock their doors and reinforce safe havens . Then the grid went down ,internet serves ,cell phone lines ,television it all went down electricity shutting off except for in the military ruled DC .

Flash forward two years, D.C has been overrun , New York is a dead zone ,the government has been dissolved as the remaining survivors retreat into self - sustaining settlements. The only remaining non infected states are New Mexico ,Nevada ,Arizona ,Texas,and southern California. The decaying zombie numbers begin to dwindle as they naturally fester away , the remaining stragglers forming large roaming packs in the wilderness. Small civilizations begin to emerge in the mountains and swamps of America. And as peaceful settlements begin to thrive ,the dirt of humanity crawls back out , bandit packs begin to wage war ,destroying settlements to instill fear ,while pushing larger ones into protection racket schemes . Supplies from the old world dwindle , medical supplies ,pharmaceutical supplies ,and ammo .

I played the new zombie exodus, and want to do this now. Are you sure you want it start it two years after when the shock has died down, and they're already harden survivors?  It seems like it would be more interesting to see everyone trying to adapt, and deal with the shock, and the chaos in the street. That way we have character arks, and shit, and over time we see the shift from the old world to the knew, as people set aside status, and prejudice from the old world for survival, or cling to it, and alienate others. If you skip the  beginning you skip the most interesting part.

His life is not something he likes to talk about, he was abused as a child by his father, never knew his mom, he had an older brother who got out by joining the military, but that was never his style.

Background: She had a rather easy upbringing at first, in an upper middle class family, and so she basically received everything she wanted. She had done judo since she was quite young and got quite a knack for it. When she was 13, she started up archery. She did gymnastics for a while, but quit it a few years back. Consequently, she is quite strong. She remained rather down to earth, however. Her parents split up when she was in her mid-teens, and she had to deal with that shtuff. It was at this time she went through her rebellious phase, and cut off her hair and got tattoos and took up smoking and hung out with the “wrong sort.” She got out before things went too far.

Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas is also on her calf. And a zombie Arial from the Little Mermaid on her thigh. She has snake bite piercings, bellybutton and tongue piercing, and quite a lot of piercings in her ears. Her hair is half shaved, the rest short and swept to the side, almost covering her eye.

"SHIT SHIT SHIT!" Micheal screamed in his head  as he rushed through the unlocked door of someone's house, he quickly closed and locked the door behind him to shut out the outside world. It was a bloody nightmare out there, people eating , and shooting each other in the streets. He had see the news reports of the "Zombie Virus, but nothing had prepared him for the carnage, and the bloodshed, and how fast it all happened. Micheal was ussually the type to keep calm, and collected, but now his thoughts were swirling around in his head so he took a moment to calm himself. He had been in the middle of a bank robbery with the crew when about a dozen of the things swarmed the place, so he ran out the back, and legged it, he had blown one of the zombie's head of, that was in his way, and left the others to die... oh well, they were assholes anyway, and he barely knew them.
He still wore the black tench coat, and clown mask he had been using to hide his identity in the robbery.,as he hefted his pump action shotgun, and decided to search the place in case there were any of those things or anything here worth stealing, he most have looked like some crap out of the purge.

Katrine had been upstairs playing video games, when the sound of pounding footsteps and the slamming of her front door reached her ears. She paused the game, before creeping downstairs, ensuring she avoided all the squeaky floorboards as she did so. She was fairly confident she wouldn't need a weapon, but should things get ugly she had a baseball bat in the living room. If she was able to reach it in time, of course. Her pulse increased as she crept along, though excitement drummed in her veins. She spotted him; a rather ominous looking figure clad in black and armed with a shotgun. With careful footsteps, she made her way up behind him as he nosied around her home, before giving him a hard kick to the back of the knee to make him fall. She then grabbed the arm wielding the gun and twisted it behind his back until it would hurt. "Usually people knock," She said, with a smile.

Micheal hit the ground with a thud, he tensed for a moment readying himself to have a bite taken out of her, yet he relaxed when he heard the woman's voice, and maintained his composure "Usually there aren't zombies eating people outside too." He said from his slightly embarrassing position pinned by the smaller girl.

"Wait, what?" Her head snapped up towards the window, and she blinked in surprise at the bloodbath going on outside. If that wasn't evidence to prove she needed to get out more, she didn't know what was. "Jesus..." she murmured. This would distract her momentarily.

"I'd appreciate you letting me up now." The Criminal said, deliberately not making a move on her, she didn't seem like a killer to him.
