AOD: The pit of Glory

Griff wakes up alone in a dank cell , a ball and chain attached to his leg.

"That's rarely a good sign." griff murmured as he sat up

He hears someone yawning nearby "Hello? Is someone else in here?" A heavily accented voice questions.

"It's griff, Nickola?" Griff asked in reply

"Da , it is I " He replies slowly "Good to know another of our crew survived "

"I think so, If i recall the wizard had these fucks on the run before I blacked out, Are you in one peice?" Griff rubbed his aching head

"Yup , missing an eye though " He replies casually enough.

"Shit"Griff said and checked she shoulder he got a knife through

It's healing up as well as it could in a dark dank cell

Nikolai laughs "I said that too when I found out"

"Any idea why they're keeping us alive" Griff stood to search for a window

"Slave labor?" He replies with a shrug.

"Or sacrifices" Griff suggested

Nikolai grunts "True , I'm not sure which I'd prefer"

"Guess we'll have to wait and see" Griff said

Griff has a seat and waited

A large bald man with a whip , flanked by two other similarly large and bald guys , all wearing grass skirts come in.

"Manly atire that is..." Griff said, though he highly doubted they would understand him

They are also covered in tattoos , thereby counter acting the unmanliness of their skirts . The largest baldest one gestures for the other two to grab Griff , while he goes to handle Nikolai.

Griff allowed them to due it he was biding his time

Nikolai on the other hand does not go so quietly and by the time they finally subdue him several of them are missing teeth "Putchska Bastards" The Nevegeredi mutters as they are dragged out into a large sandy pit where other people or similarly chained up. Above the pit , sitting in a chair is an old man adorned with bronze and gold bracelets and like everyone else , a skirt made of leaves and grass.

Griff was unnaturally calm on the other hand "Calm yourself Nikolai, you don't want them keeping to close an eye on you" he said as they were brought out. He kept his calm until one of them grabbed him to drag him, at which point he caught and twisted four of the man's fingers to break them, and accompanied it with a headbutt that broke said man's nose. It happened quickly and Griff made no further move at aggression  when said man was down, he continued to follow without breaking pace in fact.

Nikolai inshore deeply and nods "If you insist" he states , his voice now calm.

The guards are now leaving Griff alone.

Griff followed where they took him and waited there were simply too many to fight
