"No..." She continued murmuring this for a few moments longer. "No, she can't be... I'll kill him!" She screamed, forcing herself to get up off the floor, though was rather clumsy about it. She was still sobbing, but this time rage had filled her eyes.

"No! We have to find it now!" She cried, and went to make her way down the ladder. "It can't get away!" Desperation made her clumsy, and her shaking hands and blurred vision didn't help this at all.

"I don't know what it is!" She threw her hands up in exasperation, once she had managed to get herself on solid ground again. "It's some spirit thing!"

"Well then show me the page you summoned it from unless you have a better way to track it, and i'd appreciate it if you stopped being a bitch in the meantime." Crow said with absolute calm as he handed her the book

Devi grit her teeth, though deigned to ignore his "bitch" comment. How would he react if his guardian died brutally before his eyes? She doubted he would be singing merry tunes about it. She grabbed the book, and flicked through the pages with hurried movements, mumbling the type of spells to herself to try and remind her where she had found that particular one. "Here!" She said, thrusting the page in his face.

Crow looked at the spell, and nodded , he felt the book pulling towards its location. "Shouldn't be a problem to find" crow aid, heading in the direction it was pulling toward "I apologize, the bitch part was out of line."

Devi had been deathly silent the entire trip. Her tears had stopped flowing, but her eyes were hollow and dull. She felt numb, and wasn't sure if this whole thing was worth it. Killing the creature won't send her back. There was no point. There was no point in doing anything anymore.

Devi breathed in the scent of blood, and her gaze snapped towards its source. It woke her up slightly, though her eyes still held the same dulled sheen. "It looks like it already has," She said quietly, in a low monotonous voice.

Devi trailed him, forcing herself to be angry, because angry would help, and numbness would just end up with her in a corner somewhere contemplating death.

Devi caught the sword, murmuring a "thanks," while she did so. She had never handled one before, and frankly wondered how on earth she'd be able to kill this thing with a weapon she is unfamiliar with. Oh well, it's better than nothing. Though she wouldn't mind ripping it apart with her bare hands. Ah, there we go, there's that anger.

Devi jumped back, and plunged the blade down on a few tentacles, successfully skewering them. Then she just cried out, and dove at the creature, clawing at it and trying to rip off its tentacles. "You killed her! You killed her you bastard!" She screamed at it.

The creature hissed in surprise , and pain as devi tore into it. Sadly the abomination soon managed to entangle her  arms and legs rendering her unable to attack anymore, it once again spoke. "Ah sweet child, do you think me kind enough to let her die already?" the monster laughed. "only when I have digested the last of her bones will  i truly allow her to pass from this world onto the mercy of the next, but i think you deserve a less merciful end..." the creature's may gave a twisted smile showing its sharp toothed maw once more; it was enjoying its victory too much to notice Crow picking up the book once again behind it.
