Jason nods thankfully and waves as he drives off for home, wondering how in the hell he's going to explain this to his wife

Zegrath would wait until that day and spend only small amounts of that money, since that day he hadn't attacked any humans for food.

Jason pulls up in his truck again that thursday, obviously fresh out of work, covered in soot and with a grubby bandage wrapped around his now mostly healed wrist. It had been interesting telling his wife about that night, and even more so when he mentioned he'd invited Zeg over dinner. But he'd managed to talk her around to the idea, after two more arguments and receiving a rather nasty black eye, which thanks to werewolf healing is gone now. He rolls down the window and waves to Zeg, "Evening buddy."

Zegrath looked at his appearance and tilted his head to the side. "What's your job anyways, chimney sweep?" he asked curiously, smelling the soot on his clothes and skin. Today his clothes looked cleaner, a lot cleaner than before, which could mean that he had prepared for this.

Jason shrugs, "I work at a steel mill on the outskirts, forging, welding, moulding, you can think of it and it involves metal, I probably do it." He nods at Zeg's clothes, "See you cleaned up a little for this, I'm flattered."

Zegrath blushed slightly. "I usually don't, but I'd rather not show up looking like a wild animal." he said before he got inside the truck and sat down in the passenger seat.

Jason glances down at himself, then raises an eyebrow at Zeg. "I think you're just trying to show me up in front of my wife." He starts driving for home

Zegrath glanced towards him and lifted the brow. "What do you mean? You said dinner, that's all I intend on having." he said sounding sincere.

Jason shakes his head and drives, chuckling softly, "Can't even take a joke." The drive to his home only takes about twenty minutes, and they pull up before a mid sized home in a poor working class neighborhood. It looks simple but well cared for, with a handful of children's toys scattered across the yard and a pair of large pitbulls sleeping peacefully on the porch

Jason steps out of the truck and whistles, "Fubar! Taylor! Here!" The two giant dogs dart of the porch and wag happily around the big man, one of them jumping on his chest to lick his face, tail moving almost faster than the eye can follow. Jason laughs, as he tries to force the dogs tongue away, "These two wouldn't hurt a fly unless I told them to or it tried to hurt my kids. I've got a knack with dogs, have ever since I became a wolf, helps train them easy. You're completely safe."

As he speaks a woman appears on the porch, a small boy trotting after her and a toddler balanced on one hip. She says nothing as Jason plays with his dogs, her eyes instead focused on Zeg, though at this distance her expression is unreadable

Zegrath gulped nervously and slowly steps out of the truck. He notices the woman with the 2 kids and has a shiver go down his spine. He glanced towards the dogs for some comfort and smiled as he watched them and he kneeled down to pet them.

The smaller of the two, a terrifying looking animal with numerous scars on its face that's missing an ear and an eye, sniffs at his hand then growls happily and tries to lick the Grim Stray's face. Jason laughs, "That's Fubar. Sorry about his face, he was a bait dog as a puppy, now all the big fella does is eat and sleep on the porch." He ruffles the ears of the bigger dog, which goes to investigate Zeg as well, while Jason makes his way towards the porch.

The small boy comes rocketing off the porch screaming happily, "Daddy!" only to be caught by Jason who lifts him high in the air and spins the boy, the two of them laughing

Zegrath starts to cautiously pet both of the dogs and scoots away as the smaller one tries to lick his face. He then glanced towards Jason and a certain feeling came upon him - jealousy. He was jealous of Jason - he had a family unlike Zegrath.

Jason doesn't notice the jealous look as he plays with his son, his wife watching with a smile. The dogs continue to try and lick Zeg's face

Zegrath gave a curt growl and stood up and looked at Jason and his family. He glanced sadly at the ground - it was hard being alone all the time for him.

Fubar continues to wag around his feet as the bigger dog, Taylor, rushes off to nip at Jasons heels as he walks over to Zeg, his son sitting on his shoulders giggling. Jason frowns as he sees Zeg's sad look, then coughs to get his attention, "Zeg this is my son Lee. Lee, this is Zegrath."

The giggling boy waves from atop his father's shoulders, he's the spitting image of his father, with midnight hair and blue eyes. He doesn't seem to notice Zeg's sadness as he makes faces at the dog jumping playfully at him, "Hello Mr. Zegrat." He giggles again

Jason cocks an eyebrow at the obviously fake smile, "You alright?" he sets down Lee who sets off across the yard chasing Taylor, Fubar wags around Jason's legs, groaning happily as the big man scratches his back

Jason frowns but nods, he's not going to let this go.

the woman approaches the two men, slight annoyance showing on her face as she stops next to her husband. Carefully handing off the toddler in her arms to Jason, who takes the girl and begins making faces at her while the woman stares at Zeg, "You're Zeg I take it? I'm Allison"
