"Piri," Ysabel said, a hint of surprise in her tone. Her head darted behind to look at the now blocked door, before turning back to her assassin. "Why?"

"On behalf of the emperor, I've come to ensure your most quick and painless demise, if you surrender now" He replies his eyes glazed over yet staring directly at Ysabel.

"I imagine you already know what my answer will be," She responded, any hint of fear was undetectable from her body language and overall expression, however her eyes held a small, barely noticeable spark akin to worry for her own life.

Piri nods and looks to Shadow "I'm assuming you're going to try and get in my way?"

I don't need to try i already am from a literal standpoint" The assassin said in a cheerful manner, that was the opposite of intimidating

Piri doesn't dignify that with a response , instead rushing the assassin with his shorter tanto blade, pressing his probable advantage in swordsmanship and dexterity.

His blade hits not but air as Shadow dodges with astounding speed, and steps on piri's foot to trip him

Shadow cheerfully tied up the unconscious Piri, as he set down the broom he had broken after a long, and no doubt badass yet eternally nondescript battle that ended with piri unconscious on the dining room table, and shadow holding a broken broom. Shadow tied piri up because he probably knew something important.

Rowan, and Mori had been left in charge of looking after the kingdom that was Arden's. Rowan in particular was super reluctant about it, but they had to relocate their base of training, and operations from the tower on the mountain to the castle for efficiency's sake, little did they know a group of the insane mages rowan had swindled, five to be exact were riding into town wearing black robes.

Ysabel stood there, stunned by this epic battle, too epic in fact to be described in any detail whatsoever. For years to come, people will be wishing to have been present in this absolutely badass fight scene that no one must know the details of.

Morina was very happy to take charge, being a rather controlling person and she felt pleasure in bossing people about. She was perhaps getting a little too at home in the castle. Currently, she was strutting around town like she owned the place, hoping to purchase some nice clothing or jewelry.

Epona had stayed at her mother's side during the battle, silently praying during it that Shadow would be a victor. She was correct and she cheered at Shadow's win. She smiled and blushed in Shadow's direction.

Victoria had her eyes closed as she stood by Emron's side. She seemed to be deep in thought. She was debating whether it was time to stay by the king's side or leave so it wouldn't make her heartbroken.

Emron was a bit out from the current happenings, there was so much on his mind but thankfully his mother was not dead yet.

"Take him to the dungeon i'll interrogate him, and find out what this is all about later, when he wakes up" Shadow suggested to the guards, he did not notice epona's blushing

Rowan didn't seem to mind being bossed around by Mori; however not many people paid her much heed as officially the town had been left to rowan, and while Rowan was totally whipped, he kept her somewhat in check on behalf of Arden's kingdom, occasionally reminding her that the king, and queen would indeed be coming back to stop her from taking their rooms. Rowan was at the castle performing administrative duties competently enough, when mori sensed the presence of trained mages like themselves in town

Morina frowned, half inside a store when she turned around to spot the riders. Her stomach flipped, as she recognized their faces, and muttered a "f*** me," before hurrying back to the castle.

Mori was very lucky that none of them noticed her

Morina made her way back to the castle, shoving her way past some people in her hast to find Rowan. "Rowan? We have a bit of a problem..." She said, once she had found him.

Rowan looked at her when she walked in, he was smiling at first due to his happiness to see her, then when it became apparent she brought bad news he frowned slightly "Did Ezrune set something else on fire?" He referred to one of their new pupils, a young teen who rather enjoyed playing with fire incantations.

"No," Morina shook her head, before loosing a sigh. "It's the sorcerers from my old tower. They're here."

"How many?" Rowan asked her. He stood up wearing a grave face they were at a severe disadvantage without Arden, and Vesryn, they were at a disadvantage

(Wait what? I thought no one was doing this anymore ! You can't just do that!, you bastard!)

Piri wakes up about five minutes later and starts trying to wiggle his way up .

"I counted five, " she said, expression drawn in a worried frown.
