Epilogue: End of Story

"Yeah , but I can make time for that , I've literally got eternity , ....but I know what you're going through , and I know that it hurts ,they were your family , and I in part am responsible for this ,so I'm going to stay here and we're gonna talk this out"

"it.... It is probably for the best"  Erin said to the demon, trying to let it go "They were my family, but they're also ties to my old life, it's all best left behind, i can't carry it with me"

Lu nods "I disagree ,but I understand your reasoning . You think that to really become a god,you'd have to let go of erin right ?" He nods eyes on the floor , his expression thoughtful " You think they all fought that hard, to help you ascend , so you could forget about them?" He's not asking it accusingly , or in a judgey way its just a question.

"I think they fought for different reasons, theo fought for me because i was strongest, Fang fought to save people, rish and most of the others fought for survival, sabrina stood by me because of love, koyu fought for vengeance, and fourteen fought because of bella, now bella, sabrina, kitana, Rishka, and fang are all dead along with so many others, and part of me regrets going down this road. The truth is almost none of them were comfortable with me becoming a god, they fought with me, because i was trying to save everyone... I should have tried harder but now i need to move on, I need to forgive you, and the angels, and myself so we can all move forward." Erin said simply, his friends had stood by him  not because they wanted to see him in power, they all knew how nuts he was, but he would honor them, and he would become better for the sake of everyone

Lu nods , pushing back his hair to look you in your eyes "I understand i do...it probably hurts so much more for you than for me to be honest....you lost a family , I lost a lover......I-I'll be honest , this is something that's been tearing me open for weeks , when ....when he died , i didn't feel sad ...i didn't even cry. All...all i felt was anger , anger that they took him ...from me , like he was some possession of mine , some dear precious bloody bauble. I should have gotten over this by now , at least openly , but...the thought...that i may not even have really , have ever loved him ....its like a bloody net of thorns is wrapped around right here" He taps right over his heart words shaking "He loved me...he was devoted , when i looked into his eyes i saw he might even have given it all for me...and he did. His soul is gone ,dissipated...fucking fairy dust if you will ...and i don't even know if i loved him....and he died for me.....I'm sorry , you don't need to hear this , i just got a little into the moment i suppose and i started venting ." He explains quickly flashing a broken smile .

"Laz worked for me a couple months" Erin began to speak "In my recollection he was a monster obsessed with causing others pain he'd cut out a child's throat, and laugh at the parents" he said recalling it all honestly "I remember when he was fighting us,and he turned into a giant city destroying snake. Fang went after him ... saved a lot of people that day"

Lu shrugs "That's not what I'm talking about , I used to be a monster as well , even Fang has done terrible things" he replies nonchalantly.

"And we all deserved to die a drawn out , and lonely death" Erin said to him with a shrug "Instead we got the world"

"Yeah...funny how that worked our right ? I mean to be honest most of us are only nominally good guys right?" He jokes "Even if the person you get it for is gone" he states "Enough depression , I'm gonna go and get a drink "

"You coming ?"

Erin shook his head "Sorry man, there's work to do"

"Isn't there always?" He replies with a smirk as he shuts the door begin himself.

Lu peeks back through the door"You're really not coming...your literally the only friend I have " He says smirking.

Erin sighed, before giving in and following the demon

"Yaaaaaaaaaaay! Besides what were you planning to do anyway ? nd around feeling guilty ? I should feel guiltier than you!" He exclaims happily as he creates a portal nonchalantly and steps through "Like for real when was the last time you ever just got to just fucking...do nothing?" He asks .

"Last wednesday" He answered  cassually "Sabrina and i laid around and watched movies it was great"

"Good for you , but I never got the chance the one time I did you barged in and stabbed my boyfriend in the chest" he states chuckling as with a flick of his finger he's in normal clothing "you gonna change or are you just gonna walk down Covent Garden dressed in godly robes ?" He questions as he waits .

"They're mage's robes dude i'm bringing em back" Erin chuckled following lu

" Incorrect ,I am not going to the Jar Kitchen (British cafe) with Albums Dumbledore" He replies laughing "And they've got holes in them ! What kind of God where's shabby robes?" He questions .

"Now where were we ?" He asks casually grabbing Erin by the wrist and running through the portal.

Suddenly a black cat appeared at Erin's side. "Erin!" Jinx shouted.

Erin saw jinx, and immediately  hugged the little bastard, as seeing him helped break through his hidden grief

Jinx licked his face and purred.

Lu just smiles , because this is more than a little adorable "Hey Jinx" He says quietly and waves "Wanna come with us?"
