Emron was obviously worried but he slowly opened the neck part of his clothes for his mother to see, he wasn't sure what to do about however his mother will react.

"You let that vampire bite you?" Her voice wasn't a shout, though it was close to being one. She studied the wound, anger and concern filling her eyes. No wonder he had looked so drowsy.

Emron started to explain, or at least try to. "Mom, I was doing it for the good of everyone. She said she may have trouble controlling herself when hungry so in order to prevent her from hurting anyone and then you hurting her I gave her some of mine for the trip ahead. I wanted to make sure there were no accidents with her and the bloodlust!" Emron said to his mother hoping that she would understand.

Veronica wasn't that far away and she heard their conversation. She glanced away nervously. How will the queen take it? she wondered in thought.

Parath growled softly. "How can it be your fault? None of us would've expected the blizzard and the strong winds." she muttered finally, lifting her injured wing slightly and hissing in pain afterwards.

Epona stepped outside to watch Shadow and Parath.

Parath growled shortly at his words, for she hated being blind. "At least my eyes don't hurt anymore." she muttered, turning her head away from where he was.

Epona slowly walked over to them and she rested a hand on Parath's side, trying to comfort the dragon.

Parath flinched as she felt Epona rest her hand on her side. She sighed deeply at Shadow's words. "Can we please change the subject?" she asked him in a low growl.

Epona moved her hand off Parath's side and felt a bit worried she had upset her by doing so.

Parath had non-intentionally wrapped her tail around them as she stared at the forest, though didn't exactly know what she was looking at.

Epona leaned into Shadow, resting her head on his shoulder.

"And you thought you were the perfect candidate?" She asked, arching a brow. "Could she not have found an animal and drain its blood?" Ysabel didn't trust the vampire, though though she supposed it said something if she didn't kill Emron there and then. Though that would be nice incredibly foolish move as the rest of the party would be against her and kill her.

Veronica felt her anger growing with the queen's words. "So you truly believe I can't be trusted?! I could've drank him dry if I really intended to, but I didn't!" she exclaimed, both her fists clenched. Her vampire fangs showed when she yelled at her. Her eyes were glowing brightly and intense, showing just how angry she felt.

Emron talks with his mother about this. "Veronica said that human and elf blood is much better than animal blood, dunno why but I am not one to ask, I wouldn't bite a furry animal... That's... Kinda disgusting..." Emron said as in his minf he could only imagine how revolting it might be to bite a furry animal. But then Veronica piped up and probably made the situation worse.

"I'm sure Veronica can cope with animal blood if it means she won't be hurting anyone else of our party." Ysabel replied, giving the woman a cold, hard stare. "This won't be happening again, Emron." She said, urging her horse to increase its pace and riding on ahead of her son and the vampire. No, she most certainly didn't trust Veronica, but she had to be appreciative on the fact that she didn't kill her son, even if doing so would mean she would also lose her life.

Emron looked down and he answered in a calm submissive tone. "Yes, mom..." Emron looked as his mom went ahead of them, he wasn't sure how his mom felt about this commotion.

Veronica frowned deeply at the thought of hurting an animal just to drink on its blood. Tears collected in her eyes and they slowly started rolling down her cheeks as she cried quietly. I don't deserve to come with them! Once a parasite always a parasite! she thought to herself before she stopped walking with them and stood there on the path, gazing at the ground as she cried.

Emron noticed that Veronica wasn't on his side anymore, he glanced backwards and noticed she was standing still and not moving onward. Emron turned his horse around to get to Veronica, he then spoke. "What's wrong? Why did you stop walking? Don't mind my mother, she is just trying to be protective of me..." Emron said trying to make her move along them again.

Veronica lifted her head and then he could see she was actually crying. "I'm already labeled as an untrustworthy monster, so why stay around for more assumptions of what I am?" she asked him, sniffling and wiping the tears off her cheeks.

Emron hopped down from his horse to try and comfort her, he placed his hand on her shoulder gently. "Hey it's alright, instead of crying you should try and show everyone how trustworthy you are despite being a vampire... Show my mom how wrong she is about you, you can be trusted. I trust you..." Emron said to her giving her a light smile.

Veronica gulped nervously and flinched as his hand rested on her shoulder. "But I'd hate to hurt an animal just because of what I am." she told him truthfully. She hung her head lower and she closed her eyes. "Emron......do you fear me?" she asked him, such a deep question she's wanted to ask him before. Her fangs were revealed as she asked him that question.

Emron listened to what Veronica said, he then answered her. "No, I don't. If I was scared of you I wouldn't be here now wouldn't I? I care about you, you are one of the nicest vampires I know and well... The only vampire I know." Emron said to her, despite Emron having strong feelings for her Emron would try to ignore those since it wasn't right to love a vampire especially since he had to have children someday to take over the throne someday in the future.

Veronica frowned slightly before she started walking with the group again, not uttering a word afterwards. She decided to not argue for once even though she feared that animal blood wouldn't sustain her as long as human blood would. Her eyes were open and she sniffled once again, but only because she had cried. She wiped her eyes, ridding them of the tears that didn't roll down her cheek.

Emron noticed that Veronica was walking again, he hopped on to his horse and rode it next to Veronica. Emron offered her to jump on as well so they can be close together for now, besides, Emron was still feeling woozy.

Veronica looked at him and smiled slightly with her mouth closed. She hopped onto the horse and rode on it behind him. Carefully, she placed her hands around his waist to keep herself from falling off it, but also worried that he might be too woozy. "Do you want me to take the reins for you?" she asked him.

Emron then walked along the group with his horse with Veronica with him, Emron was feeling quite happy now that she had calmed down. He heard her question and nodded saying. "Yeah... I would appreciate it..." He allowed her to do so.
