"Speakin' o balls you must have a pretty big pair if you're so confident, I mean...you don't exactly look too intimidaitin' mate" Airic replies and then downs some of his gruel.

"Let me show you something..." he took out a wood chip he had carved the number one in and held it in his hand "Take a look at it... now I want you to take it from my hand..." he said holding it out to the barbarian girl

"I can't , I'm covered in chains" She replies with a raised brow as she's just a bit too far away to do so.

"Ugh fine, you do it" he said to Airic holding it out to him

Airic narrows his eyes "I don't like this..I've the distinct feeling I'm about to be embarrassed" He replies as he crosses his arms.

"I'm not going to attack you or anything like that"  Varius assured him

And while Varius is in the middle of doing that Airic grabs it lightning quick "Ha!"

"Wow you're pretty fast... why don't you take a closer look at what you've got there..." Varius said with a smile

"I'm not sure I want to" He replies , already having guessed what's happened.

He is holdin a chip with 2 carved onto it, varius was quick enough to swap them out when he tried to grab it. Varius held up the chip with the 1

"And who's to say you didn't just carve that rune into both?" Airic replies with a smarmy grin as he refuses to look at his own wood chip.

"If you're so certain why not take a look?" Varius asked

"A man who's sure of himself need not check , for he knows he's already right " He replies , grin widening "But fine lad , I'll humor you" He concedes as he opens his hand .

The wood chip he has, has a 2 written on it

"...Whatever"

Varius grinned "Also Magic helps"

Athaedra just watched on curiously.

"Aha! A trick then!" He declares .

"No I don't do illusions" He said

"Oh yes 8'm sure" He replies , just then the ship stops moving and guards beging streaming down into the holding area and unshackling the slaves.

Varius was just glad to stretch his legs

Airic groans a bit as he slowly stands and stretches a bit before each of them is herded in a line towards a ladder "Captain's proposed a little game , to break up the monotony " One of the guards declares with a laugh.

"I take it this isn't going to be chutes and ladders?" Varius asked as he was taken on deck, cracking a lighthearted joke

"Nah , you said you wanted Ted to be a gladiator right ? Well I suppose you can call this practice " He replies with an amused smile as he herds them up the ladder.
